Our flight was canceled at the last minute and we needed a place to stay overnight. Of course, all of the motels on the app raised their prices immediately when they realized there was activity late at night with everyone trying to book a room. I was able to find a room at the Kona resort at their usual price. The staff member that checked us in was so kind and offered us a cot as we needed a third bed. Even though our stay was short, it was very enjoyable, and we greatly appreciated the service and lovely accommodations.

The place is awesome, right by the ocean, and the views are amazing. It’s also within walking distance to the town, so it’s super convenient if you want to explore. The whole vibe of the resort is really nice—relaxed and scenic, with a great atmosphere. Recommended!

We rented a room in the lagoon tower for 470$ US per night plus paid a 25$ resort fee plus 25$ for parking.
The tower was under construction and the pond was gross. I expected alot more for the price. We were on the Big Island for a week and it was the most expensive and worse value of all places that we stayed.

My initial impression was that it was rundown. Construction going on. Room seemed dated. But I have to say after really taking a look around. It might be a little older but so iconic so beautiful so Hawaii. The view from our room was spectacular and we slept to crashing waves all night long. Everything is in walking distance, ABC store, restaurants, nightlife.I would stay here again, construction, and all.

The ocean is so close and beautiful, the restaurant was good and view is amazing and staff at the restaurant was nice. We stayed in the tower overlooking the tennis courts, do not recommend. For some reason the little side road between our tower and the tennis courts was very loud with people yelling and playing loud music and fighting in the middle of the night. Small cockroaches in our room as well. The property was nice but the room was pretty gross.

This is a beautiful property in an excellent location, directly next to Kailua Kona, but the property is still undergoing extensive renovation & even areas that aren't listed as being under construction still need quite a lot of upgrades to make them up to the level they should be.
Overall this makes the experience a bit overpriced for what they currently offer, but the staff is great & generally put in extra effort to make the stay enjoyable.

Large room but not updated in years. Huge balcony but with a raised table and counter height seats. No lounge chose, nothing to allow you to sit comfortably in your balcony. Loud bar next to the hotel plays music well into the night. Pool is small and construction noise from a tower renovation prevents you from enjoying being at the pool. The food at the restaurant was mediocre. Staff was very pleasant. I got a massage against my better judgement (they are never worth the money at hotels) and sure enough, it was like paying someone to rub oil on your skin.
