This was a first time to use hotel service apart from my main stay hotel chain, which was tooo expensive in NYC, let alone Time Square and the theater district. I was extremely and extraordinarily well pleased with the facilities, service and accommodations!! This will not be the last time with The Royalton or this service via Expedia!

Very convenient location close to Times Square and several subway lines. I didn't have any issues with noise- and there were parade preparations right outside while I was staying.
No issues with cleanliness, either.
I was pleased with the size of the room I got.
I would absolutely stay again.

There’s something going on with this hotel.. practically deserted, wonder if it’s being sold?

If you want to see a faded 1980s boutique hotel, this is the place for you. Everything is kept up decently but very worn and frayed around the edges. The elevator wobbles all the way up and was dirty.
Bed was comfortable but I had to unscrew the light bulb to get the light over it to go out.

This hotel has so much potential but fall short. No restaurant, no bar, minimal staff. The room was fine, except only eight channels on the TV, was hard to stream stuff. This hotel used to be owned by one of the owners of studio 54 and I’m sure back in the day. It was a great place but not so much these days. It’s a shame

Get what you pay for. Had to move me as heater wasn’t working. No food or drink which defines this as a motel vs hotel. Stayed here 15 years ago and it was super cool. Not anymore unfortunately

We stayed in this hotel 19 years ago. It was vibrant and fun.
A bar and restaurant USED to be there, NOW nothing. You can’t even get sparkling water. NOTHING has been updated since we were last there. Carpet so worn and torn, tile and bathrooms worn.
We chose room for fireplace…which they no longer allow you to use. TOTALLY DISAPPOINTING TRIP AND STAY

The room was fine. Small but clean and well appointed. I think, understanding that there is no food or beverage, the lobby area could still be more welcoming. Kind of a ghost town, oddly configured. Staff is friendly and helpful, but the public areas really have a low budget feel to them.

The front staff were unfriendly on 1/4 at approx. 1pm. No cups in the room. Loves the bathroom and the magnifying mirror was great.

Needs updating and more amenities! Carpets, walls all need cleaning! Bathrooms steams with showering and mirrors useless as no fan exhaust. No tables next to bed. Sofa had rips. Windows are so dirty there is no viewing.
