Oh the room was very clean and updated looked very nice, the refrigerator wasn’t running very well and I called the front desk and they had a new one up there in 15 minutes, great service! The employees were all very friendly and helpful.

I get to the room and it is dirty… dirty towels, sheets etc. it had not been cleaned and it was 11PM. I was not thrilled. They gave me a new room, but that’s not something you want to have to do when you arrive late at night.

So… the first thing you need to know if the property is under renovation and it’s a mess and NO bars or restaurants are open. Yes there is a mall attached. But there was nowhere to meet clients in the hotel itself.
The second thing you need to know is that the renovated rooms, which I stayed in, have been renovated poorly.
The shower squeals when you use if, the fittings are cheap, the lamps have visible cords rather than being in the wall, the sockets include the old USB versions… and the TV cords are wrapped by a large plastic pipe. The fridge clicks on and clicks off and hums. Delightful.
Not. Don’t stay here.
Whoever signed off on this reno needs to not he allowed to do another one - this is not Sheraton quality and not Marriott quality.
Finally, the paper-thin walls enabled me to hear the entire sales pitch of the guy staying next to me at six in the morning. And the doors close with a ferocity that is quite unnecessary. The elevators are ancient. There is nothing to recommend here.

At the time of booking this hotel It was not mentioned that the hotel is under reconstruction and the pool was not available. We had to take our grandchildren to the Marriot Hotel and present our hotel key pass to use the pool there.
Had I known beforehand I would have made the reservation with the Marriot Hotel and saved the time lost on running between hotels.

I read reviews on Google about this hotel. Please don’t listen to them as they are per individual. We didn’t experience rude staff. From the minute we stepped out of the car for valet to check out, everyone was top tier in customer service. Having no lobby due to renovations, I’m not sure how people in reviews found this is an issue as signs were easy to read for reception and check in was effortless. If you’re staying in a hotel in a small town, you usually expect a big room. These rooms were not as spacious as usual but gorgeously renovated. You’re in Boston and definitely spending most of the time not in the room. My only gripe (this is new years time/current renovations) so no restaurant at this time, only room service which was extremely pricey. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and will be by again.

Our upper floor room had a nice view of the Charles River and the Cambridge skyline. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Pool is nice! Hotel was under renovation so we didn't really get to appreciate the aesthetics of the main lobby area. Easy access to Prudential Mall and the T.
