Sonder The Deco

Nice property. Pool and cafe are really wonderful. Only complaint floors are too thin, stomping can be heard above you very easily.

Not good

Such a beautiful property! Felt like we had our own paradise and it's a 3 block walk from the beach! Staff were all very friendly and accommodating.

I liked that it is located in a safe area and close to shops and restaurants.

Beds were very Worn out and uncomfortable.

Convenient

Noisy room in Taft building, broken elevator, smelly dirty hallways. Floor in room filthy. Wouldn’t stay here again…

Good place to stay, close to many things. The rooms are nothing up write home about, but check-in is convenient. There is plenty of space and seating to chill in the common outdoor areas.

Good location near beach, must cross very busy street to access the beach

The staff at the front desk were just as a matter of fact. Not nice, not rude, not anything. Just there! No personality. They never communicated I’d have to carry my luggage up 3 floors because the elevators were not working in the Taft. The best part about this property was the cleanliness and comfort so thank you to the hardworking cleaning staff who had no working elevators to get on all floors to clean them.

The staff, especially “Ronnie the security officer!!! He’s a gem!

Very calm and an enjoyable environment that had everything we needed! Security and front desk were very kind and appreciated greatly that luggage can be held for us!

The room was nice and I loved the property location in walking distance. I would stay here again.

The WiFi sucked. The TV wasn’t working. No elevator and I had a knee injury and they didn’t give me another room.

Amazing price and deals

Property was great. There was quite a bit of construction going on during our stay but that was ok. The check-in lobby was the only thing that didn’t seem to match the rest of the property in terms of needing an update. But I definitely would stay here again

The location is perfect for those looking to spend a lot time on the beach and yet have the convenience of being surrounded by so many restaurants within walking distance. If you do not have a car whilst visiting Miami, you could not ask for a better location. Everything with this property is digital- check-in/out, no daily cleaning, but you can scan a QR code to request 1 complimentary cleaning during your stay. Pool is small and never gets direct sunlight, but that does not stop people from enjoying it. Rooms are small, but clean and you have everything you need, expect for enough hangers- no dresser and only 5 hangers total. Having at least 8 or 10 hangers per room could be an easy inexpensive way the hotel could improve the room. The stay was overall so positive and such a good value, but I have to say the reason I would likely not return in one of our 2x yearly stays in Miami Beach, is the incredibly pungent and toxic smell in lobby and hallways (also creeps into the room, but we opened to the window to disappears). The hotel uses the electronic/auto fragrance machines and it hits you like a brick. We would actually try to hold our breath from the entrance to our room to avoid inhaling it. The fake chemical scent is like a floral 409 cleaner on steroids and it cannot be healthy to inhale that. I am sure it is masking an unpleasant smell you tend to have a lower end coastal properties (a little swampy), but there are so many products they could use to neutralize odors

This is my first experience with a Sonder and I will avoid it in the future. We spent at least 30 mins providing the info needed for checkin, which we realized we didn’t actually need to do. They just would prefer we not have to trouble the front desk with checking us in. The property felt a little like a motel, with the gale open to anyone walking in. The bathroom was clean.

WAs dirty full hair on the room i asked them to vacuum! Nop nothing did! Third day I pick up the hair by my self put on the bin! I asked for manger never see him !
