SpringHill Suites by Marriott Charlotte at Carowinds

It smelled so bad outside and inside the hotel. It was even on our floor and seeping inside our room. When I called the friend desk about it they told me there’s nothing they can do and provided no assistance.

Breakfast was same every day. No bacon, no waffles, no scrambled eggs. Stayed three nights and never got maid service or fresh towels.

Hotel was clean and neat. Staff were friendly. Getting in was a challenge. We booked the stay for new years eve. We had a little trouble getting in as cars lined up early on the road to get into Carowinds blocking the road to the hotel. Hotel informed me we could have traveled the wrong way down the one way exit from Carowinds to get in. Need a better plan. At check in I was told breakfast was from 7:30 to 10. We got there for breakfast at 9:15. Milk and coffee were gone, but here was chocolate milk. They turned off the lights to breakfast bar promptly at 9:30 which did match the sign on the wall. They cleaned up the food by 9:45. We were able to get our food, but several other people who I assume were told the same thing showed up after 9:30 and were disappointed.

Excellent place to stay! Staff were friendly, room and facilities clean and included a good hot breakfast! Close proximity to Carowinds. We enjoyed the stay for our 2024 family Christmas vacation. We will definitely stay here again!

The hotel its self was super clean and comfortable. WIFI should be available without needing to make an account. In today’s life style that’s what is always needed. Otherwise we were happy with our one night stay.

Great stay will stay here again!

Went to winterfest with my family of 6 and another family of 6 for winterfest. Overall great hotel for 2 young families. Breakfast was nice, too. But there is an older Black bahamian lady (who was supposed to be out on vacay) who was so kimd, loving, and helpful to my family and to me. Would highly recommend. Also, if you’re going to carowinds you can get a free parking pass (if you don't want to walk), just request at the front.

Clean, big rooms.

The "free wifi" is not available unless I register as a member, which I didn't want to because I have too many memberships already. The TV mount on the wall was off from the bed, I have to crank my head to watch even the TV was pulled out and turned to my side. The one good thing about the hotel is that it is close to Carowinds, I would walk there in 10 minutes, and the path is well-lit.
