Staybridge Suites SOUTH BEND-UNIVERSITY AREA, an IHG Hotel

This is a great property to stay at! The property is clean and the staff is friendly and welcoming. The prices are reasonable and affordable. We come to South Bend maybe once a month if not every other month sometimes twice a month and no matter what they are always available to accommodate my reservations. The breakfast is not great, they don’t have any turkey products and they servers don’t speak very good English so it’s hard to communicate at times. However, there are plenty of restaurants in close proximity. Lastly, the parking sucks because there is never open spaces available so you may have to park far away. Other than that it’s a great place to stay.

We loved the 3 bed suite. It had two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Very cozy and clean. I will book with Homewood Suites again.

Check in was quick and easy. There breakfast was solid Close to Notre Dame and Airport

The staff is always welcoming and friendly at this location. They keep the rooms and common areas in great condition.

Bed comfortable and convenient location. Room not well maintained and check in person wasn’t great. Good enough for traveling through one night, but not good.

After traveling all evening, I did not get to check in until around midnight. There was no parking left, except in the very back in a sketchy area. Staff was outside smoking with I’m assuming some friends of theirs. Went inside to check in and the guy checking me in was acting very strange. He wrote on my key card to “behave”?? When I got to my door of my room, it looks like someone had tried to pry the door open on multiple occasions there was paint missing from the door area and it did not shut well. The room was very hot so I turned the thermostat down. Throughout the night it was not cooling down and it said low battery on the thermostat. I told the front desk first thing in the morning and they said it would be fixed. When I got back to the room, it was still very hot and they had not replaced the battery. I stay two nights and the battery was never replaced in the room stayed at 76° but Was set on 68. When I went to check out, no one was at the desk because they were both outside smoking again. I had to go get someone to try to check out. If you’re traveling alone, I would not recommend this hotel at all.

The suite was spacious and clean. The staff was helpful as well.

At signin clerk was clearly having a bad day. Another customer was complaining that upon arrival their room was not clean. Our room had some issues as well. I would not stay here again

We arrived around 2 hours after check in. We had two 2- bedroom suites. The one suite was never cleaned prior to check in it took several hours before our room was ready and we had to be up at 4am. The other room. The TVs in the bedrooms did not work.

Everything was nice

I loved the cleanliness of the room. Did not like the odor near the elevator. Did not like room phone outgoing calls ringing busy when trying to reach all services including front desk Did not like having to come back to an unclean room after requested early in the morning, due to spillage.

Hotel is updated, clean and comfortable. I wish they kept the pool i was told its being converted into a game room but guests can use the pool at springhill across the street

We arrived at 10pm only to find that our room was either not cleaned or given to someone else. Currently we are staying in a room with a portal ac unit that is doing nothing and box fans. Probably one of the worst experiences ever.

Everything about the room was awesome. It was clean and modern. One TV in each area, everything was really nice. The only downside was the service checking in wasn't great.

The staff was very helpful and sincere.
