This is a quaint hotel in an old building. If you are expecting the big chain hotel experience, then this is not the place for you. However, if you like a place that is reasonably price, great location for walking and super friendly staff, then I highly recommend. While some of the usual amenities are lacking, the room was very clean and smelled clean. The bed was comfortable and we slept great. We will be back for sure!

Very reasonable pricing. This is not a hotel where you should expect to lounge around in. The rooms could use updating but that is a minimal concern when compared to the prime location.
Centrally located, this hotel is a 5 minute walk from First Friday, and a 10 minute walk to the St. Pete pier.
The staff is super friendly. The bartender is on point as well with his Old Fashioned drinks. The kitchen is open until 11 which is perfect if you decide to turn in from seeing the sights before 10 pm.

The Exchange is a reasonably priced, dog friendly hotel in St Pete's. Near the water and not far from Central, there's lots within walking distance and the hotel itself is pretty cool, a remodelled old building just out of the way, the elevator is a little slow but the staff are nice and the decor makes up for it. The rooms are comfortable but it can get a little noisy during busy times like NYE or Halloween but that's to be expected. The bar has some decent food and good drinks as well, a great place to chat with other guests.

This hotel is filthy. It was disgustingly dirty! There was a ton of dust on the Keurig and on all the furniture. But worst of all, the dead dried up flies on the windowsill. It was disgusting. How can the staff let someone stay in a room like this? We had to clean the hotel ourselves because of how disgusting it was. The staff were very nice though I will give them that. Otherwise I didn't enjoy my stay in this hotel.

My husband and best friend all stayed here for 4 nights! When we first arrived, the staff was EXTREMELY helpful, we had quite a bit of luggage and they went above and beyond to help us unload and reload our car. We were greeted with a warm welcome every time we came in and told to have fun and enjoy our day every time we got out and about. We loved the history behind the building and the feel of this place. Very clean rooms! We are heartbroken to hear it’s being demolished for a newer sky rise. Thank you to all of the staff for the warm welcome and happy stay. We had an amazing experience
