A gem of a hotel close to Rutgers University but not close to shopping and restaurants. The in-house restaurant had a marvelous buffet (for a fee). The building is about 18 years old and has an old world feeling to it. My room was nice and I enjoyed the high end bathroom amenities (getting quite rare to get portable ones nowadays). The staff was lovely. Note that you are nearly obliged to use their valet service and it’s pretty pricey, especially if you want in and out privileges. The area is walkable but I didn’t find much to explore in the immediate vicinity.

First of all, the hotel doesn’t have any parking and it wasn’t mentioned anywhere at the time of booking. I booked through the hotel website, but I only found out about the parking when I reached the hotel after driving for 9 hours. There is a parking garage that charges 22$ per night where I was told to park by the staff. Secondly, a 2 or 3 star hotel has more facilities than this 4 star hotel. There was no microwave, no electric kettle, the coffee machine didn’t brew coffee and the TV didn’t work :) The drawers once opened wouldn’t close :) I can go on and on. The only good thing that happened was the reception staff, she was the sweetest, she gave us water bottles every time we asked for it and was so helpful when we wanted to cancel the last day of our reservation! Just for her I give 4 star for services!

No complaints really. I could say it's tough to find a place to park cheap, but that's true for the entire area around the hotel. Once you get into the hotel: it's nothing but nice service, and nice room. Be aware that the pool is three feet deep, which isn't ideal for many adults... but I shouldn't nit-pick. You're not staying at a place that offers every tiny thing your "dream hotel" offers... but they do everything correctly by the book.

Well folks this is one of those hotels that used to be good back in the day and then the stupid corporate came down and basically told folks not to spend a dime on improving the place. My room is freezing. I left the room at 90 hoping it will get just a teeny bit hot by the time I get back after 8 hours of hard work. I stay here all the time and the temp thing has not improved at all. Nope, it is freezing cold still. You can see the picture attached. The location is great and so are the workers. I hope the cheap owners of the hotel and investors get the same room that I currently have when they go on a vacation next with their ill deserved income.

Stay clear from this hotel, bunch of fake reviews. I was there for 3 days and it felt like 2 star hotel. Beware theres no on site parking and you have pay $30 for valet parking. The front desk lady is rude. Worst part is the rooms don’t have basic necessities such as a microwave and you have to pay extra for one. Not to mention breakfast is $15+ extra per guest.
