We rented a room at the Historic Magnolia House and it was fabulous. This is a historic Green Book motel and it is filled with history about segregation travel in the south. It is on the National Register of Historic Places. The wall of photos of people who stayed here is a whose who of African-American entertainers that visited Greensboro in the late 50s and early 60s. We were greeted by Nicole at check-in and she is super cheerful a wealth of information. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The bathroom is down the hall that you share with one other guest room, but to stay in a historic motel is worth it. The motel is located just a few minutes from a business area loaded with restaurants and breweries. Breakfast at Magnolia House was the best shrimp and grits I have ever had. If your travels take you to Greensboro and you have an interest in Civil Rights history I cannot recommend this place enough.

Stayed at this property 16 August 2024. This place is nothing like the website. We arrived at 6pm and there was no one there to check us in. I called the number from the email I received and Nicole told me she had to run an errand and would be there in 10 minutes which turned out to be 45 minutes We waited on the porch in the sun. When she arrived she let us know there is no dinner service and we would be the guest at the house. The house was cold and very dark. Once she told us all the things we were not receiving she left us in the house for the evening. The next morning we received a microwave cold breakfast. I am still waiting to hear from the owner. This was very much not what we paid too much money for.. do not stay there. Not sure where all the good reviews come from.

Exceptional Experience at the Magnolia House Motel in Greensboro, NC I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Magnolia House Motel in Greensboro, North Carolina, and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in the charm and elegance that this historic gem exudes. 🌟The motel itself is a beautiful blend of timeless architecture and modern amenities. The attention to detail in every aspect of the decor and design is truly impressive, maintaining the historic charm while providing all the comforts of contemporary luxury. 🏨✨ The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the birthday brunch we had for my sister's birthday. The staff went above and beyond to make this occasion special. The brunch featured a variety of delicious dishes that catered to every palate. We enjoyed perfectly cooked eggs, shrimp and grits, hash browns, chicken and waffles, pork and turkey bacon, and refreshing sweet tea and lemonade. πŸ₯šπŸ€πŸ₯”πŸ—πŸ₯“πŸ‹ Every item was crafted with care and presented beautifully. The service throughout our visit was impeccable. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive to our every need, ensuring that we felt pampered and well cared for. Adding to its allure, the Magnolia House Motel is one of the historic locations listed in The Green Book, a guide that provided safe lodging for African Americans traveling in the South during segregation. Over the years, it has hosted numerous celebrities, including Gladys Knight, Louis Armstrong, Ray Charles, Ike and Tina Turner, Jackie Robinson, and others. 🎀🎷🎹⚾ This rich history adds an extra layer of significance and nostalgia to the already magnificent experience. The Magnolia House Motel is ideally located, making it easy to explore the rich history and vibrant culture of Greensboro. Whether you're visiting for a special occasion or just looking for a luxurious getaway, this motel offers an experience that is second to none. πŸŒ†βœ¨ I highly recommend the Magnolia House Motel to anyone looking for an exceptional visit in Greensboro. Our experience was truly magical, and we look forward to returning in the future. πŸŒŸπŸ¨πŸ’–

For a fall party at our farm, the Magnolia House's chef created beautiful big trays of desserts and fresh fruits. The guests had highest praise for the quality, beautiful display and taste of each cookie or type of fruit.

We used the Magnolia House for a birthday celebration. The planning support was attentive, professional, and accommodating. The catered food was delicious. The staff was helpful yet not overbearing. The house decor was so vibrant and bright that limited decorations were needed. Would highly recommend using this space and hope to host another gathering there in the future.
