We had a lovely stay. We were in town for a volleyball tournament at the convention center, about 1 mile down Figueroa. The beds were comfortable, the service was great, and we enjoyed eating at the Bonaventure Brewery too. I would return!

The recess light fixture in the bathroom was loose and hanging a bit which was quite surprising given the class I was of the hotel. Other than that, things were great!

I always love staying here. A vintage hotel that feels like the 1970s. Clean, good service, so much space to hang out with friends within the hotel. Elevators are fun. The rooms are dated, but they are always clean and the suites are nice size with two bathrooms. When I’m in DTLA I like staying here. It’s not fancy, but it’s good, clean, and spacious. Only complaint is valet parking cost. It’s really best to valet park in this area where the hotel is, so you just pay the price. The valet retrieves your car quickly. The other strange thing we encountered. We opt to unpack our car and push our own cart to room. They don’t like that. They take your drivers license and chase you down if you’re trying to load your own bags on a cart and go up the elevator. My guess is luggage cart theft has been a problem?!

The hotel itself is really nice, check-in was a breeze. The lobby area is nice and has a 24 hour cafe for grab n go foods and select Starbucks drinks and bar both open 24/7. The rooms are comfortable, our suite was good just a little outdated compared to other nice hotels nearby. The tv doesn’t have Netflix so you can’t really watch much only the channels included which sometimes there’s nothing good. Coffeebar/sink was good ( complementary coffee and bottled water). The nightstands are outdated no outlets for charging near nor on lamp or nightstand . Suite has 2 restrooms which I liked. The one in the bedroom has the shower/tub. No extra pillows nor blankets in closet unless you probably ask for them. The elevators are glass and have a nice view to the outside. Nice shops inside. The downside is that their parking garage doesn’t fit big SUVS! Clearance is 6’3”. And not even the one across the street. You have to park at the World trade center which is a little far down the street and hope you don’t get kidnapped on the way back to the hotel! The hotel is a little too nice to not have that figured out.

Beautiful tower but it has seen its best days I’m afraid, it definitely needs a “refresh”. Also, for such a prime location, as the inside of the Bonventure is interesting and like a little world, there are no eateries & no businesses - every spot minus maybe 3 is vacant. This hotel was one of our favorites in the past, we hope it because a little more vibrant in coming days.
A stand out was the excellent massage I received at Desaur Spa!
