The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa

No service no spa time. It is an additional charge to use the spa steam room, sauna or whirlpool, even as a resort guest, that fee is on top of the resort fees. Gen the lady working the spa counter was extremely unpolite when I was able to discuss with mgmt and be allowed to go into a basically vacant space as there were literally only 12 to 15 cars in the parking lot during our stay. She didn’t offer me a robe and tersely reminded me to be mindful and use the clock on the wall for my one hour limit. However Joslynn, Diasi and Yanilla were some of the nicest young ladies that made my birthday visit very special. Problem # 2 If you book on a third-party app, like Expedia, make sure upon check-in, you go to the front counter and verify everything on your receipt to get the amenities for which you have paid. Marriott Westin will tell you none of the items that you pay for on Expedia have transferred over onto the hotel‘s website. And you will have to stand at the front counter to contact Expedia (good luck finding their phone number without googling it) and have Expedia speak with someone at the hotel. And finally, problem # 3 At check out, the bellhop room was locked, therefore we could not get a luggage cart. No one at the front desk has access so we wound up carrying all the bags down by ourselves. I cannot imagine being there during a busy crowded summer season if the service was this bad with so few people to actually service I imagine hotel is god-awful when full.

My wife and I absolutely loved this place! We we stayed here in January it was peaceful, quiet, and very relaxing. Exactly what we were hoping for on a getaway. We will definitely be coming back here. 10/10 RECOMMENDED

Service desk we call over 10 times and no would answer the phone, so after 3 hrs trying to relax , we decided to go to dinner we are room i all the way over the other side of the hotel , so when we left we call at reception , we asked then why would no one answer the phone they said we ate sorry , we came back agfter dinner still no TV what the hell is wrong with this place and staff theres hardly any one here at the resort , but they way its run is not the same either i ve been coming here on and of for 20 years now im going to change my hotel next time will not stay at the weston again , now

Clean, friendly staff and great views from our room.

We expected a better experience based on the price per night. The hotel was nice but very understaffed, they did not clean the room even when we asked 3 times for it to be cleaned. No trash cans in the room. No one was able to help with bags, pool towels etc. and very long lines in the front desk. When checking out there were charges to our bill that were incorrect, and the lady was not very friendly about it. Overall I would not go back. But the place has a beautiful beach in front of it.

Adjoining rooms not soundproofed. Three elevators, two were not operational for three days. Sort of ridiculous for a hotel of this size.

Beautiful property that is family oriented. My family and I spent Christmas of 2024 at the Westin and the decorations were gorgeous. I highly recommend this resort for couples and families.

In one room the fridge wasn’t working. In the second room the tub wasn’t draining. There is no where to get water after the store closes so we called the front desk. They said they would bring water but didn’t. We called 15 minutes later, still no water. We called 45 minutes after the first call for the third time and thankfully got a manager that was surprised that hadn’t brought the water up yet. He then promptly brought us water. One 8 ounce cup of milk from the store is $7. Bring your own drinks because everything is pricy.

Was a wonderful time! So close to the beach every morning long waking. Is our third time and for sure we will return

We went off season for our honeymoon. Half the restaurants were closed and the two bars on the property would close early every day. They also closed the hot tub at 9pm.

It was a little upsetting regarding the shuttle. The shuttle didn’t do their last 6:10 pick up. I waited to 6:40pm to call the hotel and they did send someone out.

The hotel is fabulous. However, the pools are in need of a bit of refurbishment.
