Travelodge by Wyndham Roanoke

Stayed here a week ago, had to get 2 rooms for my family of 6. First thing you see while parking is piles of garbage outside some lower rooms which appear to be permanent housing for some people. One of our rooms looked like our door was kicked in once upon a time. Ceiling was drooping like it was about to cave in over one of the beds. Smears of unknown substances on the walls, including large half smushed bugs. Panels under the sink were falling off. Janky lamp wiring that had other wires riveted to it. The floor though looked mostly clean, was so sticky. Shower tiles cracked/missing/ falling off. Warning this place is straight out of one of those horror movies. The sirens and people yelling profanities in the middle of the night had us up and gone at 5:45am.

Room was absolutely disgusting, paint was rough, baseboards were coming off of the walls, flooring was seperating, shower caulking was nasty, had a leak in shower from upstairs room, toilet seat was broken, no tv remote, had 1 flat pillow on each bed, popcorn on mattress under the sheets, sink cabinet looked like it was cut up and screwed back together. Worst room i have ever been in.

I know what this place is, and I didn't expect Luxury resort quality rooms or service, but this was below even my (already kind of low) standards for a hotel room. Checked in around 6.30 and very nearly wanted to apologize for the inconvenience I caused the fellow working the front desk. Got into the room and it wasn't great. The bathroom is outdated and the tile is broken and busted. There isn't an exhaust fan which I'm fairly certain violates building code. It wasn't until after a shower that I noticed the floor. It looked clean and relatively new. Once my slightly damp and just cleaned feet hit the faux wood laminate I nearly fell on my face. There was some type of cleaner, I think, left on the floor in heavy amounts. It was slick and anywhere it got moisture on it was a strong chemical/ cleaner smell. I had to clean my feet (which were already blackened from whatever was on the floor) with soap and a wash cloth afterwards and wore shoes the entire time instead. The top cover on the bed had lots and lots of holes in it. The chairs in the room looked fit for a CSI: Miami set. The parking lot stunk like hot trash. The room with the ice maker was post apocalyptic. Black mold all over the tile floor. Broken ceiling tiles etc etc. Upon checking out I walked to the front desk only to be watched/monitored the whole way by a man who reached out his hand as I neared and simply asked "Checking out?" I handed him my card and didn't receive even a thank you. Do not stay here. Just don't. There are similarly priced and way less uncomfortable places.

I booked the room at this location for 4 days, on first day when i arrived the front desk gave me room that was not cleaned, very disqusting and had tobacco stuff in trash. After i got to transfer to another room, guess what? floor had food crumbles all over, bed sheet was smelling bad and room did not have any single towel. I went to get towel in morning at front desk, no one was there at desk and i called over the phone 6-7 times no one answer the phone call. I did not stay for entire booking and left early, requested refund for the days that i did not stay and manager talking about the refund policy. Thats ridiculos, first fix your shit together before having refund policy, very unprofessional management i called 4-5 times after i left the hotel for 4 days, no one even answer the phone call. Money suckers

Very large single king bed room with comfortable bed. All clean & tidy. A tub and a shower provided. Plenty of hot water. Wifi was excellent. Would stay again.
