Tru by Hilton Radford

Very nice, newer hotel. Room was a bit on the smaller side, but given the great location I was more than pleased with our stay. Very friendly and helpful staff as well.

The Tru hotel was very trendy. The lobby is very impressive. Everything about the hotel felt very clean. I loved the lemon + sugar hand soap and body wash. I'm usually very sensitive to smells, so the fact that I really liked it is saying something! I appreciated that when I asked about local places to eat, I was given a list of restaurants and even a coupon for one of the restaurants, which I put to use. I liked that they had a water fountain that had a place for me to refill my water bottle. The location of the hotel was in a very quiet area, which was nice. Some downsides were that the room didn't have a luggage stand. There was a padded bench in the room where I could place the suitcase, but it was not a very deep bench, plus located under the TV (the lid of the suitcase would bump the TV), so it wasn't ideal. The wifi never would connect on my phone. I was hoping to get some work done on my computer, but when I went to connect to the wifi, it wanted my name, address, and e-mail address. I found that to be excessive, so I never connected to the wifi on my computer, and therefore didn't get my work done. There was no fresh fruit offered at breakfast (I only stayed one night, so I only had one breakfast there). Overall, the hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly. Some aspects are too trendy and are not practical.

Beautiful and quiet location in close proximity to Christiansburg, Radford and Blacksburg.
