The hotel itself is fine- nothing exceptional, but perfectly serviceable for a place close to Newark airport. However, the bartender at Dougs (the bar/restaurant there) is worth mentioning.
I was traveling through for one night by myself, and decided to get a beer at the bar. The guy working was named Jason, and without being intrusive or unprofessional struck up a conversation with me and another patron and was able to make an otherwise lonely night at a bar feel like I was visiting with old friends. Hopefully his employers see this and recognize they have a really great employee there.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel and will definitely return. The prices are excellent, the security deposit upon arrival is very reasonable, and the rooms were clean and well-maintained.

The hotel itself was nice but their shuttle service was awful. The front desk didn’t seem to care about the shuttles running on time and were very nonchalant about it even after I called multiple times while I waited for the shuttle for about an hour.

We had a pleasant stay at TYRP during Christmas break 2024.
Rooms are big, hotel was clean and staff was nice and helpful.
The only thing was though breakfast is not included the variety of food items is very limited.
