We were visiting family, and happened upon the Tuxon, by fortunate chance. It was one I-10 exit from University area, and the neighborhood looks a bit run-down, but security is good. We ate breakfast in the restaurant each day, and it was very nice. Staff is friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

Property was clean and provided everything we needed. Employees were friendly and helpful. If you choose to stay here, eat at their restaurant. We had breakfast and it was better than any we had on our week vacation.

This is a motel, not a hotel. The walls are paper thin. The crying baby next door sounded like she was in our room. We left in the night 0 out of 10, would not recommend

I stay here often when visiting Tucson for business or pleasure, looking for an affordable week long stay. The Tuxon has a Tucson vibe that goes a long way, They have a great bar and restaurant, They don’t promote it, but if you really want/need it, they will provide Room Service! You will feel secure with gated parking. The staff is exemplary & helpful if you need quasi valet/bell service. The location is super convenient to 1-10, the convention center, museum and downtown. If of moderate stamina you really can walk to all these spots. There are short cuts to town ( ask at the front desk). Make sure you don’t miss the Mercado shop and eat center, literally right around the corner from the Tuxon. The downside (s): The beds are too high from the floor. Guess if you are 6’+tall that feature works. The rooms are fairly tiny - definitely a one person at a time bathroom. If you can navigate stairs ( no elevators) ask for an upper unit, the noise from those above you is, at times, unbearable. All of above really can’t be addressed…it’s not their doing - comes with the territory. They did a really great job of stylishly renovating an old freeway hotel. Kudos for that. 👏 A couple of issues that should be addressed, however, is better linens. The sheets and pillows are pretty sad. I would pay more per night for quality linens and towels! All & all. A very nice spot to stay in Tucson!

The rooms are incredibly noisy- this is an old motel that was remodeled, but the developers put cheap vinyl windows in which aren’t soundproof. So, the freeway noise never ends, it’s awful. Also, the neighborhood is a slum, there’s no food nearby, IHG has incredible nerve to charge $200-399 a night for this place.

Upon arriving, room key didn’t work, the door was jammed. Was given another room. That room’s tv didn’t work. Was told maintenance would fix next day at 9am. Came back that same evening and a/c didn’t work, front desk had to come and turn it on. Came back from hiking all day the following day and tv didn’t work, wasn’t notified we’d be moved to another room. Had to move all our stuff to another room. That room smelled bad and the room next door was smoking weed that fumigated our entire room. Absolutely worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel. At one point we even considered just driving to our final destination in Phoenix just to have a peaceful stay. Oh and also upon leaving we were told their tvs and phones were having issues - so why wouldn’t they proactively just check a rooms functionality before a guest stays? Terrible waste of money and stressful.

We stayed at the Tuxon for one night while visiting Saguaro National Park. Was a little surprised on ths location as it sits in a neighborhood and next to highway. The property is gated after 9pm. They did a great job creating a boutique-like experience. The pool was a hit and I was bummed missed the live music and DJ that are offered on the weekends. Very close to Downtown Tucson and dining options. I would stay here again.

This place gets better every day. The service and comfort are impressive. Very outgoing people attending to your needs asap and comfort demeanor as soon as you walk in your room. The bar area is spectacular. It provides its attendes with a fusion of southwest drinks and foods. I will continue to lodge here.

This place is delightful! It has that modenr minimalist chic that really gives it character. The only priviso I'd give is to get a second story room as the floors are not carpeted, and I was awoken when someone checked in late above me, and came in rolling luggage and walking around with hard heeled shoes, at ~01:30, and i was unable to go back to sleep till about 03:30. Cheers! The TUXOℕ for the win.

We loved the amenities and the pizza and drinks were good at the restaurant. Super cute and the kids loved the pool. Unfortunately the wifi wasn’t working in our room and either was the TV, our kids were a bit overtired and just wanted to watch a movie to calm down but we were unable to do so.

She doesn't look like much if you enter through the back. There are two entrances, and once you get to check in at the front, the pictures make sense. Check in was nice and easy. The GM was nice as well. It was warm and inviting. All dressed up for Christmas. You can tell that everyone who works here cares about their job and their patrons. This hotel has a nice bar, pool, newly remodeled rooms, and easy access to the freeway. If you are unsure or uneasy about The Tuxon, don't be! You'll be happy you chose these sweet digs!
