This lodge was inside the park and just a short drive from the South Rim. Very adequate lodging if you're looking to stay inside the park and experience everything nearby!

Weve stayed here lots of times and always great. However this time: I dont mind having no cell signal in the wilderness, but my elderly Mum was with me, the only way for her to contact me was room to room phone, it was very frustrating to learn that she tried to call me for help at night and my room phone was disconnected so that could have been a bad situation, Id suggest with room phone being the only form of communicating the room phones should be checked regularly

The rooms might have been adequate about 50 years ago but they are primitive and "tired" as well as very small and uncomfortable.

Everything went well, except for the coffee shop. We were overcharged for our meal. The baked goods were not fresh. They were day old yet we were charged full price and the hot water for the tea was cold and I’d already poured it for my tea so I had a cold tea and they ran out of coffee and spilled it over our things. Not impressed and staff was not helpful when I explained what happened.

Don’t look too closely at bathroom walls or the floor, because it isn’t the cleanest. But it’s also not the worst place we have stayed in as far as cleanliness is concerned. We would definitely stay again. It was quiet (in January at least). So convenient being so close to all of the hikes we wanted to do. The restaurant was amazing and had SO many options for gluten free (and vegetarian too). It was a very simple room, not much frill or extras but it does the job. The front desk staff could afford to be more friendly and polite. But overall with the convenience and value of the restaurant, we’d definitely stay again.

Dog friendly options are limited in Grand Canyon Village, but lodge allows dogs. Very friendly staff and clean comfortable room, although a little but older. But overall a great stay.
