BBQ Villa & Hostel Ha Long

Great hostel, the rooms were very clean and modern. The facilities were great, unfortunate we arrived after the storm so there were some renovations but regardless the place is very nice. The worker Gin made the stay so incredible, he was so helpful and kind and stayed around to talk to us all the time. He gave great recommendations and helped us book tours last minute. Even when there was an issue with the electricity he was super helpful in transferring us to another hostel with a free upgrade too and helped drive us there for free! He was the most helpful and kind person i’ve ever met! The only comment is the location as Beverly Hills is not near many shops or busy areas so it does feel a bit eery and desolate, however a cheap grab into the busier area is easy.

Had a great stay. The rooms are top notch, the staff as well. If you have a motorbike with you its a perfect spot to enjoy your stay in ha long.

What can I say…. The BEST hosts I’ve ever had. As soon as we arrived (at 7am instead of 3am after our bus broke down) they let us check in immediately (without a booking) and only charged us for 1 night! They also gave us some really good advice regarding what to do in ha long and helped us book a fantastic tour, with a discount. Not only that! They also helped us book a bus to ninh Binh and made sure that the timings worked with our tour (as we were on a tight schedule). We hung out and had great chats/laughs and refused payment for coffee in the morning and after our tour. They both went above and beyond for me, voluntarily doing my laundry in super quick time so I could catch my bus the next day and letting me shower after the tour, even though I hadn’t booked a second night. It’s so great when you feel your hosts really care whether you have a good time or not. Thank you so much guys, you really made my stay in ha long worth it (despite the bad weather). Can’t recommend enough. It’s a family run hostel and you can really tell. Keep making people happy with your generous spirit and kind hearts.

Room is nice and clean and comes with a huge smart TV. Great water pressure and temperature for the shower too. Also had partial view of the sea! Incredible value for the price paid. Most importantly, the hotel manager Jane and her team provides top notch service, which only enhances the overall experience. Sad that I'm only here for a night though. Highly recommended!!

Just had an amazing stay at BBQ Hostel Ha long 2. Jane the owner is just brilliant! She helped us organise taxis at 4am for check in after our sleeper bus, organised our ha long bay boat trip and our onward transport to Ninh Binh. The hostel and rooms are so clean and it feels like a hotel. The value for money is just brilliant! Would definitely recommend. Thank you so much again Jane!
