My husband and Inrecently had the pleasure of staying at Celtic Manor, and we can't say enough good things about our experience! The facilities were absolutely amazing, providing everything you could possibly need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The staff went above and beyond, always friendly and attentive, making sure every detail was taken care of.
The golf facilities were great too! The courses were beautifully maintained, offering a fantastic challenge for players of all levels. Overall, I highly recommend Celtic Manor for anyone looking for a luxurious getaway with exceptional service and great golf. Can't wait to return!

Our stay was disappointing. We stayed in the Manor House. We had no fridge , no robes. We had to get a bucket of ice to keep our drinks cool. Our carpet wasn’t clean. The bathroom had hairs around the bath and sink . There was rips in our carpet . Hotel dining wasn’t available. A lot of the spa wasn’t working like jets in the wirl pool. Not what you expect for a 5 star hotel. The best part was the staff. They were all lovely and accommodating. Won’t be back .

We stayed at the Manor House to enjoy the small hotel atmosphere but the lounges etc were not fully open. The resort is as it implies a big complex. Reception were extremely helpful.

No parking directly next to the hotel, which was probably on the website, but I wasn't aware of this. Have to pay for parking a short walk away, up a hill, but the porters will kindly drive you up with a very short wait (few mins).
Was put in the wrong room initially, which wasn't fun at midnight, but they sorted this out very quickly and put me in a much larger room, which was kind.
The rooms are generally nice, but carpets are quite dated and had some quite large holes in them. Otherwise very clean and bathroom very comfortable.
Service desk and people working there are lovely.
Swimming pool and sauna were one of the best I'd been to, really clean and nice warm temperature for the pool, not that busy when I went.

The Manor House is a very old and outdated property and could benefit from improvement and modernisation.
The room I was in, although a large and spacious had very old facilities. The bathroom was grubby and bathtub was scratched, taps were broken.
Flooring was quite noisy as I could hear many people walking back and forth throughout the night and evening.
Bed was comfortable and I did sleep ok.
For all its “prestige” it just felt like a run down hotel that needed major improvements across the board.

Thermostat was not easy to operate to turn temperature down.
Solution : perhaps room service people could re-set thermostat to 18•
Breakfast was really disappointing, cooked food was not hot at all, in fact bordering cold!

Reticent staff on the whole, but there were some staff who cared about their customers. The cleanliness was average, the signage and directions within the building were beyond poor. The parking situation was disgraceful with charges not mentioned before booking! The room condition was less than I had hoped and was not as good as, say, a Premier Inn. Overall, overpriced and poorly serviced.

We didn't like the state of the rooms and common areas - the fourth floor was moth ridden both in the two rooms we tried and on the corridor. The rooms and common parts need a deep clean.

Close to main roads. Out door parking a bit out of the way. Very large hotel as it’s attached to the country club easy to get lost at first but lovely place. Room clean with window seat. Slight buzzing not sure where it was coming from as I didn’t use air conditioning.
