The way to get the card is very easy, when I was there it turned out the counter was already operational at 6 am, the service was easy and fast.

I am so glad we grabbed this card before arrival. The process is hassle-free—collect at HKIA, then you can start using it for the bus, tram, food, or buy stuff in a convenience store. All cards are valid for 7 years. If you can’t finish the credit, just use it up in the airport before boarding ☺️

You can easily redeem it at the airport counter. I recommend getting an Octopus card, as some stores in Hong Kong don't accept travel cards.
