Excellent service from the staff!

Close to the beach but that fire alarm kept going off

It was close to the beach

My husband and I stayed at the Hyatt Place Waikiki for 7 nights. We had a 14th floor, ocean view room. The room was updated, comfortable, and the view of the ocean was just what we were hoping for. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. The location was a huge plus for us, as it is on the very edge of the hotel district, which made it a little less busy and easier to get to the beach. It was also very walkable and easy to get anywhere in the Waikiki and Honolulu area with a variety of transportation methods. With the resort fee you get $5 each day (covered a soda and candy bar), beach chairs, beach towels, and boogie boards. Breakfast food was good with a fairly good variety. Overall, we couldn’t have been happier with our choice and would stay here again.

This was a fantastic choice for our family vacation to Waikiki. Short walk to beach and shopping plus all the amenities offered onsite. Stores, car rental, restaurant, beach supplies. The room was nicely appointed and the breakfast was bountiful. The employees were hard workers and pleasant especially the housekeeping and kitchen staff. Their communication system had glitches that caused issues: text requests were replied to (probably autogenerated?) but not followed up with the service requested. For example we requested towels 3 times before we got them. Also the emergency alarm went off every few days saying we had to take the stairs to escape the building but it was always a false alarm. I think though the infrastructure most in need is enclosing the rooftop breakfast patio. Birds. So many. And rain and wind. If they put a roof up and mesh/glass walls or something it would improve the guest experience and decrease the employee workload. All that said, we were really pleased that we chose this hotel.

Nice place clean friendly staff but they have roosters and chickens that gonna wake you up around 4 am

Me and my family had excellent time in the hotel. Sadly it was short break, but we will be back and also i will recommend it to anybody who wants to come to honolulu Aloha ;)

Solid stay and location. Helpful to have free breakfast. Pool and gym are meager and they only have 2 elevators for 20 floors (no service elevator either).

This property was walkable to the beach. They had beach chairs so you can borrow. They were close to restaurants. They were clean. They had a pool if you didn’t feel like going in the ocean. It was a nice temperature and the people that worked there were really sweet. I liked everything about it. It was nice with the valet parking. We didn’t use a car the whole time and when you didn’t have a car, those convenient places close to rent scooters to catch the bus , Trolley anything you wanted?

The staff were so kind and courteous. Our stay was wonderful.

Beautiful place to stay. However, there were only two elevators and it would get super busy, especially during breakfast hours. Loved the whole atmosphere and staff were amazing.

We had an amazing time. Staying. Everyone was nice, hospitable and friendly. Definitely felt the Aloha spirit. The only thing I could say is that the pool area deck could use a touch up. We enjoyed the free breakfast and all the resting areas in the lobby. Mahalo.

We loved it!

This is my second time staying here with kids. We love the free breakfast (which had improved btw), the location which is near the beach, and they have bathtubs for the kids to use. If for whatever reason we were starving and didn't plan a meal there is a dominos on first floor. We did book a tour and they were able to pick us up at the hotel across the street which worked out fine. There is a ABC store like a block or less away, which in our case we really needed one time for an item. Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach suited our needs because we wake up, eat and leave for the whole day, then come back to shower and sleep and start the whole thing again the next day. It is a great place to call your headquarters while you enjoy exploring and relaxing the great Island of Oahu. Mahalo

Clealiness, near the beach, breakfast buffet and water stations/free water bottles.

I did not give it a 5 because the elevator took a long time. I enjoyed the lobby but it lacked circulation and it was stuffy. The location was perfect.

It’s not the resort I would book to come back and I actually made a mistake booking here at the end of the day. It was OK, but it is not a hotel that offers much of the terms of amenities. The pool is awful and the breakfast that is free is Borderline pet food. The bed was comfortable other than that the rest of the story is not acceptable

This hotel was very nice. The breakfast was good but very crowded. The only complaint was the elevator was very slow. We took the stairs most of the time. Other than that the hotel was great! Walking distance to the beach, Zoo and many restaurants.
