Met all expectations. Beautiful beach!

This was a perfect property for my husband & I. The grounds are beautiful and just a few steps from a gorgeous beach with many lounge chairs (there were always some available anytime we went) We went to many snorkeling beaches including here! Clean pool/hot tub with more lounge chairs, some picnic tables and a bbq area as well as a small bar. Towel exchanges were easy. They have laundry facilities that are pay per load with quarters, but they supply soap if you need it. They have a card that you check out to use the laundry room, so it was only used by guests, but the hours were 8am to 8pm.That time framed worked for us. The room we used had a mini fridge, microwave, single kitchen sink and there were dishes provided. This made it nice to pick up some simple breakfast and lunch items so we didn't have to eat out for every meal. There's also a complimentary filtered water machine in the lobby(as well as many around the island) and a vending mchine with some snacks and drinks. This is the type of resort that does room cleaning every few days, not daily, but they let us know in advance what days that would be so we could plan to be out of the room. There are many walkable shops and restaurants, making it super convenient. We also loved the location as it was pretty central from the north shore or south shore. Check-in was super easy. We got there before 10 pm, so the front desk was still open, but if you're going to be later, they'll leave your keys wjth the security guard.

Last-minute stay for us as we were rained out of our last night of camping on the North Shore of Kaua’i. It worked out well.

Aston Islander on the Beach is a beautiful property literally on the beach. Rooms were spacious and clean. But I can’t recommend it due to the rude, unprofessional front desk staff. We had to wait over an hour for our 3 rooms (after the 4:00 pm check-in time), and when we asked why, they said they need more time to clean the rooms, and ‘we had over 35 people waiting for rooms on Christmas so be grateful it’s not that bad’. Telling me it could be worse is not great customer service. But it gets worse: our 3 rooms were at opposite ends of the complex, which took 45 minutes for us senior citizens to haul the luggage to each room. After returning the cart to the lobby, they told me I couldn’t leave it there, it’s not their responsibility so I needed to take it to the other entrance (uphill around the building). It appeared they were angry that we asked for a credit for waiting for the rooms, which they did give, but when I returned the cart they said they needed the ‘complimentary’ coupons returned before they could issue the credit. So I went back to all the rooms & collected the coupons, went back to the lobby, and since there were guests checking in, waved my arms to get another clerk’s attention. She loudly said ‘just shove them at me why don’t you!’. So frustrating. So I snapped and told her ‘you should take care of your own luggage carts!’. As I was leaving the lobby I could hear the clerks making fun of me to the other guests. They even canceled one room the next day!

it’s a beautiful facility well taken care of. Is also near a shopping area with good food and supplies.

Property called and cancelled my reservation. I didn’t have a place to stay. Plus I never got reimbursed for the stay. Property reason was that they didn’t even have rooms available and Expedia still booked my reservation. Poor logistics on both property and Expedia.

The grounds were beautiful, well maitianed. The buildings could use a coat of paint or 2 and the rooms can use a refurbish. But it was a quiet and relaxing stay. Would probably stay again.

like: close to the beach dislike: rude staff, not accommodating number of beds in the room. selling a room with one bed for 4 people, getting the money not providing service, rude and aggressive behavior from the manager.

Nice beach location

Beautiful property. Great staff. We enjoyed the sunrise every morning.

On the beach. Nice amenities. Convenient to stores and dining. Property upkeep and maintenance could use some improvement. No major problems but it's starting to show its age. They let the kids from the cheap hotel next door come over and use the hot tub and pool. Not a big problem but it makes it more crowded.

Stayed here many times. Love location and proximity to dining and shopping options. Will return next year.
