Rooms were clean and comfortable. Looks like the room could use some minor repairs. Biggest complaint was the in wall heater/AC did not maintain the temperature well - it cycled between too hot then too cold. Shower water pressure in one room was low, but the other room was great. Breakfast was fantastic every morning, without exception! Staff was friendly and very helpful. Will stay again if we’re return to the area.

property is in a bad location , very hard to get into and out of.. never ending road noise and in end path to nearby hospital… 3-4 ambulances screaming by at night . my floor smelled of pot each night even though they said they would charge people $$$ for smoking.. place smelled awful of pot

Checkin was quick, had no issues. My room was clean and had fridge and microwave. The bed was nice and firm...parking was great...the elevators were right inside the side door. They had a decent breakfast and fresh cookies in the coffee area each night of my stay and they were delicious! I was there 3 night so on Thursday when I made it back from work...room had been cleaned and fresh towels were left. No noise disturbances and the staff was friendly. They use Direct TV so I was able to watch some cable. Overall I had no issues...its surrounded by good places to eat, and I would recommend or I would stay here again in the future.

The property was great ,my only issue was that they did not have my reservation logged from Expedia . That took a solid 30 minutes to resolve after I had driven 8 hours so it was less than optimal . It snowed so I called the desk and asked for an extra day …this involved another 60 minutes of online and verbal communication as well as another headache trying to postpone my next destination in Wytheville for a day now that I was stuck in a snowstorm. To close ,the hotel and amenities were fine but Expedia interactions were difficult and tedious .

I’m going to keep is short and sweet. At one point the front desk told me they could not give me any wash cloths and towels. They said they don’t have any and I have to wait until house keeping comes in. Smh

I'm going to start off on a positive note: Ms. Dana in the breakfast area was a delight. She was always smiling and very friendly. She greeted all the guest and kept the area clean throughout the morning. She was the best part of our stay here. The lady there on Sat was nice as well. As for the room, the lotion dispenser was empty, and the toilet kept running, I had to jiggle the handle each time to make it stop. Also, we only had two sets of towels instead of 4 for a 3-night stay. I had to wait until after 4pm to go to the front desk for more towels. The bed was not comfortable, the mattress was not soft at all, and the chairs were uncomfortable for larger framed people (just an FYI, even though you probably won't be changing out the furniture anytime soon). Outside the room, the ice machine was broken on the 3rd floor where we stayed, and the elevator wasn't working when we returned back to the hotel around 9:30pm on Thanksgiving night. The front desk clerk did fix the issue (in the electrical room) and then rode in the elevator with us to the 3rd floor. I will give kudos for him doing that, which made up for the fact that our room keys didn't work upon arrival when we checked in, and we had to go back downstairs to get them reactivated. I like Hampton Inn and although we had a few issues, I will still stay at Hampton Inn when convenient to do so. Just need to stay on top of making sure rooms are fully stocked and repairs around the hotel. Thanks!

I liked the convince and the easy assess to the interstate. I didn’t like the fact that I had specifically requested a 1st floor room close to my mother’s room because she needs assistance. My husband and I had a room on the 2nd floor. I had to constantly walk up and down the stairs to help my mother who had a room on the 1st floor. My husband can’t walk the stairs because of his medical condition. Also, the elevator was extremely slow therefore I used the stairs when I needed to help my 86 year old mother.
