I love the patio area the hotel has and comfy chairs to sit , it even has a fire place by the seating area. They had games available to play in the grass area and in the lobby . Down side was we had booked there because it has a heated pool and the day we checked it it was cloudy and it turned out the pools heater was broken so the water was freezing cold .

Darling ocean view room.. however: the windows were extremely dirty. Could hardly see out the the windows to the beautiful view!:/ Terrible.

I stayed here for a work trip but would come back for the beach access and the grounds of the hotel. The outside areas are clean and well maintained with lots of spots to lounge and read a book. Just a quick trip across the road and you are on the beach. The room was immaculate and the beds comfortable. Will stay here again.

Great staff Excellent breakfast

Cleanliness: Overall the hotel and room were clean however the pool needed some attention and had many bugs and debris in it, which was disappointing when we came specifically to hang by the pool. It also get quite busy on Saturday. The service: Front desk staff was great. We asked for the third floor room w/ sliding door for best view and airflow thru room and was granted an upgrade immediately as well as given early access to the room. Service in the bar and restaurant was not very good. Craig is a real bummer behind the bar, and acted like we were bothering him to order drinks. The second night we enjoyed the live music on the patio but had to get up to get any help and the waitress never returned after our drinks and food arrived. -FYI- They DO NOT have room service, although listing claims otherwise. You must order in person at the restaurant and take it to your room. Food and drinks were good however. Location was great quick drive/uber to anything you need and walk across the street to the beach. *Extra note: They do have free on-site electric car charging station on the back side of the hotel. Update the hotel listing to reflect this. Overall I would stay here again.

Our check-in went fine. Room smelled strange. Almost faintly like sewage. Could hear everything happening upstairs even late at night. Super noisy. No water in our room or on our floor. Couldn’t access the WiFi despite having the correct information.

Amazing hotel and sraff

Great location, outside of the busy downtown Carlsbad and directly across the highway from the beach. But upon arrival for check in, which is 3pm, we arrived at 4pm and our room wasn’t ready. They offered another room, but up charged us for it. Restaurant is convenient but limited on choices. Complimentary coffee in the lobby was a definite plus.

Super dog friendly and a beautiful property

I recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Carlsbad Beach, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had, despite paying $746.50 per night for what was supposed to be a "Deluxe Room, 2 Queen Beds, Ocean View." Having stayed in everywhere from Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons to budget motels like Motel 6, I can honestly say this hotel was worse than a Motel 6. First, the room was far from luxurious. The bathroom door was broken, and despite notifying the front desk, they failed to fix it during our stay. The "Ocean View" room we paid for was a disappointment—the windows were so dirty that we couldn’t even see outside, let alone enjoy the ocean view we expected.Soap holder broken, bathtub Drain Stopper was broken overall dirty hotel . To add to the frustration, the hotel had ongoing construction, which was not mentioned prior to booking. The bar’s draft beer machine was also broken, and the bartender was not only rushing but also had a very unwelcoming attitude. It was clear that the service, much like the room, lacked quality. After reporting all these issues, the only compensation offered was a meager $22 discount on overnight parking—insulting given the overall experience. Save your money and avoid this place. It’s nowhere near the quality you'd expect for the price, and you’ll likely leave frustrated as we did.

Bathroom was not clean. Found a big spider on the chair in the room.

The hotel was nice and staff were friendly.

We did not get the room that we booked for. They said that they can get us roll away beds but we never received it. A couple of us had to sleep on the floor. Housekeeping never came to clean or replenish toilet paper, tissues, or towels. The property had very little amenities and the food was terrible.
