We arrived on a very cold day, quite cold from travelling. The hotel was not that warm in the reception or bar area. No heating was on in our room, and it took a long time to start to warm up. it was a guaranteed booking, and even if we had not turned up we would have paid. Since it was one of the coldest days ( so far) of the winter, someone could have put the heating on. The bathroom was a disaster - only a small towel rail to heat it, and 3 outside walls plus an outside vented extractor. Totally impossible to bath, or shower as very cold. We made a complaint and are awaiting a result. no doubt for most nights it would have been acceptable, but with ice everywhere, a bit more thought would have made things so much better. Food in the evening pretty dire - tinned soup and a roll with no butter - really for £6? I will not stay in Holiday Inns again, although my past experiences have all been good ,

Rated all as excellent. You can trust Basingstoke Holiday Inn. It was an excellent room with nice lighting ambience. Breakfast (full English), you guessed it - excellent. James Hubbuck.

Comfortable beds and nice breakfast

Nice hotel, friendly staff. Noise from room above and doors slamming. Will stay again, but bring my own pillow. Pillows are lumpy.

Great staff who are very friendly helpful and guest oriented. The rooms are clean, comfy bed, good food options but could do with some improvements to the structure.

an older IHG hotel, reception, bar and restaurant area were clean and modern. The room was tired and in need of updating

Good location. Free parking. Very friendly staff. Lack of heating in the room. Radiators wouldnt turn on and air system was useless. The room was cold. Room a little tired Bed was uncomfortable. Mattress needs changing as the edges were lumpy and you rolled back into the middle of the bed. Duvet & sheets were soft and warm. Room was dusty in parts. Room not hoovered properly & i found several maltesers around the bed. Obviously from previous occupier. Tv was a good size. I've stayed in this hotel a few times and its always been fine. This was a disappointing stay this time. Glad only 1 nightas not sure i could have stayed a 2nd night.

Clean rooms. Nice staff. Good location with Parking facilities.

Good recent stay for Car Fest, newspapers were ordered but not delivered, breakfast was good, perfectly adequate.

We had a brilliant 2 night stay here. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating especially Alex who went out of his way to cater for our needs. He was kind and compassionate. Also, Sikandar made sure we had a smooth stay :)

Having a Lounge area where you can relax and have a drink,,very good,

Stayed here many times before but on this occasion, my stay was ruined by firstly an “elephant” like person in the room above mine who stomped around loudly until the early hours of the night, which was then topped off by the staff who decided to use the fire exit next to my room to have a smoke and the loudest chat whilst coming in and out slamming the door each time, reported to reception who could only apologise.

Really good stay, staff were vey helpful and polite and made the room extra special for my friends birthdays 😊
