Great spot to stay, really loved the overall vibe of the place from the lobby to the rooms. Staff I encountered was friendly, although not terribly informed on the area and available places to eat etc but very nice.

This is very convenient to the BART station and is quiet and safe. Staff weren’t overly friendly and the room was clean enough but not spotless. The room was comfortable, quiet and safe. A great option for the price.

Paid extra for early arrival and couldn't check in when we got there. Rooms were not ready. Then you charged me anyway. The charge was reversed. All staff were exceptionally attentive and helpful.

Loved the space. It had a few issues with the hidden fees such as WIFI being an additional amenity and having a destination fee for the hotel being in a not so clean area of San Francisco.

I checked in late and staff didn't want to open the locked door, despite having a backpack and suitcase! Definitely a bad first impression. I get it, as this part of SF is sketchy, but it was less than friendly. Otherwise place was fine.

Not a great location (people yelling across the street kept me up all night); you have to ring to be let in at the front door and none of the staff ever seem to be paying attention; stains on the bedroom furniture, views of alleyways. Can’t recommend I’m afraid

Despite an almost perfect location (you can get anywhere on public transport from here), the hotel was disappointing. Generally the hotel is not effectively staffed. First, it advertises "valet parking," but in fact there is no staff for this and no place to pull to the curb. You have to leap out in traffic, flag down the registration staff, and wait for them to send for the staff of the garage. How to know this is the case was a puzzlement, and god help you if you are traveling alone and must just abandon your car to flag down the staff . Second, although there is restaurant on the hotel's website, on the night I arrived (kean not to leave again), the restaurant was closed for a private party. The lobby bar was sometimes open sometimes not. The rooms were clean but only a step above airbnb-level design - lots of blown-up photographs of books and record albums on the walls but otherwise you might be sleeping in an IKEA.

Our stay at Hotel Zetta was a difficult one. We were greeted by several vagrants being ushered away from the front door to the hotel, which was guarded by security and locked. Our check in was straightforward. The room itself was fine, with a strange layout - unfortunately the room looked into an alleyway which also had several homeless people visibily using drugs. We did like the bed and the cable channels were good, but we could not understand why we had been charged a nightly holding fee for an empty minibar and closed on site restaurant facilities. Why charge us if there is nothing to spend the nightly holding fee on? What really agitated us was a pair of earrings were left behind at the hotel, and no one from the hotel has had the courtesy to call us to update us as to the return of the items. We notified the hotel shortly after checking out, meaning only hotel staff have been in the room. 5 calls and 3 emails later, Zetta staff continue to ignore us. Hotel staff have clearly taken the jewellery and are refusing to contact us as a result. At least the taking of the items is on brand for the surrounding area! I would not return to the hotel and reiterate my disappointment at the poor service experience. For a hotel relying on service to overcome its challenging surroundings, you would expect better.
