I originally phoned the owner of the hotel to book a room and was told there were none available. However, I subsequently found a family room on Hotels.com website which I quickly booked. I later realised that I had paid over twice as much for the room as indicated on the property's website. I only realised this when discussing it with the owner who admitted deliberately inflating the price to cover Hotels.com's exorbitant fee of 35%. This is ridiculous! I really hope Hotels.com reads this review and in someway penalises people who add on their fees. The photos on Hotels.com display a large room with family facilities but when we arrived we more or less had to argue with the owner that we were entitled to a room that had at least one double and a single. The room also boasted (on Hotels) tea and coffee making facilities and free toiletries which of course it didn't. As someone living in Morocco, I've had my fare share of tagines over the years, but the tagines here were bland, overlooked, unseasoned and tasteless. The service was appalling. The only saving grace about this property was it's location - it was stunning but this really had nothing to do with the hotel, just mother nature. Hotels.com, please look into this and feedback to me. Thank you.
