A fantastic place to stay for two nights on our walking holiday. The customer service is excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff appeared to enjoy working there and the team atmosphere was most impressive. The rooms are comfortable, very well serviced and super clean and the swimming pools are small but ideal, plus there's a sauna and jacuzzi and games to play too! The atmosphere in the bar and in the breakfast area was friendly and the spread of food very impressive. Having been to two other hotels on this holiday this one tops them all. I highly recommend it.

Overall great. Good for families and groups. 👍🏼 Mattresses can be improved. Breakfast room can be calmer, maybe ambient music can help? Aged sauna and gym equipment. Swimming pool and hot tub can be better maintained. Services were good and everyone nice. The breakfast offering is plenty and good. Nice bonus: we checked out the night before because of very early departure. The hotel offered us three bags of breakfast takeaways with water, fruit, whole grain bar, cake and sandwich (nice homemade sourdough bread with ham & cheese).

I cannot recommend this place enough. The location on top of a cliff is stunning, it was clear that lot of effort was put into the interior design and house style, the breakfast was absolutely phenomenal with many niche and delicious options yet still being small and manageable. The hotel isn't too big and the room was well insulated against noise, so you really get a quiet, secluded North coast experience (not for beach and sun seekers, which fare better on the bustling South coast). The sauna, jacuzzi, and pools were also great, however the sauna and sauna rest area are too small to accommodate the demand in the afternoon when guests return from their activities. The indoor pool area got quite loud and crowded for that same reason. Nevertheless amazing. The restaurant has a beautiful view as well and has many vegetarian options, which is rare on Madeira. Although the food was good I unfortunately don't think it lives up to the more upscale atmosphere and prices, though if you book half pension it may be good value. The area is difficult to get around without a car, though you can get here from Funchal by bus and get around with Bolt with some waiting time.

Quinta do Furão was a fantastic hotel choice overall. The facilities and pools were beautiful but what really stood out was the customer service. From the first moment we arrived the staff were extremely service oriented. The hotel organized snack packs for our daily hikes, arranged all our taxis, delivered an excellent buffet breakfast, checked in via text to see if we were happy during our stay, left complimentary chocolates in our room, and helped us promptly at the front desk with all our questions and needs. The staff at the restaurant were a little earlier in their careers but brought smiles and politeness to our dining experience. It’s really obvious when staff are well trained, and at Quinta do Furão that came through strongly. A great stay.

During my stay in Madeira we decided to take a spa day at Hotel Quinta do Furao. We were greated up on arrival and informed of the package (brunch, glass of fizzy wine, and spa area). The brunch had a variety of cold and hot food. After we relax in the spa area, taking advantage of amazing views to the north of the island, ocean, and mountains. The service was excellent, especially the lady who assisted in the brunch. The only recommendation was maybe to consider providing spa guests with gowns, especially during cold weather.
