Amazing stay at a great location.

This is a beautiful hotel in the heart of Chicago; walking distance from shopping, museums, theater. Dining options are plenty. Gym is state of the art. Delicious Breakfast and brunch at the Filmore which is on the first floor of the building. Staff is very nice and friendly. A place to relax and enjoy Chicago!

Very quiet, warm, and relaxing

Beautiful boutique Hotel, a great location close to the theaters and other attractions. We were able to walk to the art Institute and Cadillac Palace theater. Wonderful breakfast! Very comfortable room very clean!

Filmore restaurant was exclellent as was 2nd floor bar. Very nice room and staff.

Great hotel! We had a beautiful suite!

I don't have a problem with the hotel itself. The location was good, amenities were fine, and service was excellent. My issue comes with the extra fees that they add onto the price. The "guest amenity fee" of $--/night is upfront before booking, although given that it's basically for 4 bottles of water and wi-fi access, it's excessive. Their website mentions validated parking at a nearby parking garage. What they don't tell you is the validation only knocks off $1 off the regular daily fee. Through some booking sites (including their own website) they may also try to sneak in an "extra person charge" for a family of 4. I've never encountered that anywhere else. Luckily, booking through Hotels.com avoided that charge. I don't mind paying good money to stay at a nice hotel, but I prefer to do my business with places that are honest and upfront about their pricing.

Great stay at the Gray

Conveniently located hotel with great staff and amenities.

The hotel staff were so welcoming to our dogs, and greeted them with a bag of treats. Kids were also welcome. The rooms were meticulously clean and comfortable. Wag hotel is one-mile down the street and offers exceptional dog day care. Our only frustration was parking, which was $100 per night. We suggest booking parking online at the 201 Madison parking garage (2 blocks from hotel).

This is my second time staying here and I love it in every way it is so easy to walk to multiple places because of the location highly recommend

Excellent hotel. Especially liked the happy hour with free spiced/spiked cider and wine and the comfortable areas where families/groups can gather for a drink and conversation. My room was great but had lots of trouble regulating the water temperature in the shower, and my toilet clogged very easily.

Great public areas. We would all meet in area near the lobby and hang out and talk

We chose this hotel for its location and it looked like a beautiful hotel online - we were not disappointed! Walked everywhere we wanted to go (except for the Lincoln park zoo) and had a great time. The establishment was clean, beautiful, and the staff was great. Will definitely be returning!

We love this iconic location. Rooms are fairly spacious and beds and linens are very comfortable. Nice cocktails served at the Bolero bar upstairs.
