Canceled my reservation an hour after check-in while I was already 2.5 hours into a 3.5 hour drive for my daughter’s Nationals competition. I booked months in advance through Expedia. They claimed they were short staffed and overbooked.
The manager, was unapologetic and told me to “book somewhere else.” When I explained we were traveling with a baby and were one hour away, he threatened to hang up on me for “yelling” when I was simply upset.
Another parent from our team arrived and was told the same thing. She also said the property looked rundown, smelled like cigarettes, and had panhandlers outside.
Canceling reservations last minute after check-in time is completely unprofessional. The lack of accountability and customer service made it worse. Would not recommend.
