The check in/out process is very strange and worrisome. I have stayed at other self check-in properties (Sonder, for example), but I have never had to submit photos of my id and payment information. Exhibit A2 also charged my credit card twice for the refundable deposit and wouldn’t allow me to check in otherwise. In addition, they allow you to request early check in, but they kept telling me to ask again in a half hour or so (I wanted to check in 30 minutes early) and eventually just stopped responding. If early check in isn’t an option, than just say so! Lastly, they send way too many texts and emails that simply provide the check in code and basic info. One or two would be sufficient. It seems they’re trying to give the illusion of being communicative without actually being so.
