It a little way from town (approx 5 min) but that was ok for me. Otherwise it was a great place to stay. Basically a 1 bedroom apartment with a kitchen, living room, dining area and bathroom. Very clean spacious and comfortable. Extremely quiet.

It said continental breakfast.Nothing continental, just few apples, nothing to drink but coffee. No muffins. Someone left their left over spaghetti in the fridge. They sould list it as no breakfast....

Very convenient while visiting RCAF training site.

The suite is spacious & modern. The area is quiet! The kitchen area was clean , the sheets were clean & the bathroom was clean. The floor had crumbs under the livingroom shelf & under the couch. The bathroom door is a barn door, therefore did not lock!

Huge rooms. More like an apartment than a hotel.

What a great spot to stay. Would go out of our way to stay again someday. A little bit of confusion with security letting us in after hours, but we were told their after hours processes had just changed so there’s bound to be a wee bit of a learning curve. Rooms were spotless, bed was very comfy, very very nice finishings. Thank you Barker Hotel & Suites, see you again some day.

This place is an amazing find. The facility is top notch and it looks like it was torn from the pages of a Scandinavian Design magazine. Totally unexpected.

Quiet and clean

Building, service, surroundings are excellent. Person at desk was very helpful.

Super clean, spacious, quiet, and comfortable suite. It is outside of Portage on the old RCAF base, so a car is essential. Would definitely stay again.

Was great place to stay nice and quiet. Nice common rooms and lounge areas. Only issue we had was our door was a little sticky on our suite.

Wonderful place to stay, especially if visiting someone at the airforce training facility, it’s directly on the grounds. Nice suite with separate bedroom, living room and kitchenette. Only negative was the bathroom door was a sliding barn door style but didn’t close completely, so there was a large enough gap that anyone in the living area could see you on the toilet, so not much privacy there. We adjusted and the stay was great! Any cleaning staff we saw were very friendly. Must have a car though as there isn’t much but the training facility in South Port.

Check in is extremely frustrating as you need the email that may or may not be in your junk folder with instructions to check in. There is a phone number to call if you have issues, but no one actually answers it. It’s a great place to rent other than that and the constant vibration noise that sound like a propeller plane through the night.

Best option in the Portage area by far.

Very quiet.

The site is so nice and quiet and very relaxing. Everything you need is there in the suite. I could have used a hook for my towel in the bathroom.
