Arrive in Ninh Binh, visit:
(1) Hoa Lu ancient capital: the first capital of Vietnam. Learn about why the capital was moved to Hanoi nowadays. You are impressed on an outstanding architecture when entering temples of King Dinh and King Le, the first and second emperors of ancient Vietnam, built in the 17th century. Feel ancient atmospheres in Hoa Lu ancient capital.
(2) Tam Coc: board a small sampan to visit Tam Coc which means literally “three caves” (1.5 hour boat trip). With views of majestic limestone cliffs and mysterious caves alike Ha Long Bay, as well as countryside landscape like peaceful streams, rice paddies and deserted green fields, Tam Coc really has it all. You will feel the fresh air and peaceful moments, a very good opportunities for photo lovers, freezing the special moments and scenery.
(3) Mua Cave (Dancing Cave): a short hike up to the mountain summit with the magnificent view to the Love Valley – Dragon Mountain, this is one of the most beautiful viewpoints in Vietnam.
(4) Trang An: an out-standing natural beauty of majestic limestone at 20 square kilometer rising dramatically out from rice paddy fields. Deep into the linked chains of towering mountain are pristine places of mystical valleys, numerous fresh water ponds, and jungle. Embark on a traditional sampan gently rowed down the exquisite river through numerous caves: Lam Cave, Vang Cave, Dai Cave, Thanh Truot Cave, etc. and passing many spiritual relics.
(5) Bai Dinh Pagoda: the largest pagoda, not only in Vietnam but also in Southeast Asia. Scenically set on the foot hill of Dinh Mountain surrounded by amazing views of the exquisite river valley below and the limestone karsts dotted around which will take your breath away. This pagoda stunningly boast an array of the most massive and magnificent architecture of Vietnamese tradition refined ever built. Some highlights: 500 stone statues of “La Han” (Arhats), 2 huge bronze bells, one weighs 27 tons, other weighs 36 tones, the Guanyin statue with thousands arms and eyes, the Gautama Buddha statue.
