SHA certification: The Amazing Thailand Safety and Health Administration (SHA) Project.

The Amazing Thailand Safety and Health Administration (SHA) certification is an official certification to ensure confidence in the sanitation and safety standards of Thailand's tourism with the purpose of minimizing further transmission risk of COVID-19. This project is a result of collaboration between the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), the Ministry of Public Health, the Department of Disease Control, the Department of Health and the Department of Health Service Support, as well as other government bodies and private sector organizations involved in the tourism industry. Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) awards SHA certificates with official serial number to complying companies and establishments, which could be revoked if they fail to consistently comply with SHA standards.

Hotels with SHA certification have followed a series of checklists that need to be fulfilled in order to obtain the certification. The inspection and certification procedures are executed by various boards, associations, and federations. Upon confirmed compliance, hotels will receive SHA certification. SHA standards committee will then conduct random checks for quality assurance purposes.
