Participants will be picked up in Hanoi. The journey begins:
- Visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Complex, the resting place of Vietnamese great father Uncle Ho. Have a chance to see the embalmed body of Ho Chi Minh then walk around the garden see the houses where he lived and worked from 1954 to 1969.
(The Mausoleum is closed on Mondays and Fridays, and during June. 15 - August. 15 annually for maintenance. During these time, visitors are not allowed to get in the Mausoleum, but can still take picture from the outside and visit other attractions within the Complex)
- Visit One Pillar Pagoda, the place worshipping the Goddess of Mercy. History of the pagoda dates back to 11th century under the reign of emperor Lý Thái Tông.
- Learn about the culture of 54 ethnic groups living in Vietnam at Vietnam Ethnology Museum.
(Due to the closing of Vietnam Ethnology Museum on Mondays, this attraction will be replaced by Vietnamese Women's Museum)
Have lunch at local restaurant, then have a short rest. In the afternoon, the journey continues:
- Visit Tran Quoc Pagoda. This is the oldest pagoda in Hanoi, built in the 6th century, located on Golden Fish island in West Lake.
- Venture at the Temple of Literature, known as the oldest university of Vietnam.
- Learn about history of Hanoi during French colonial time at Hoa Lo Prison. The prison was built by the French from 1886 to 1901. It was dubbed as "A hell on Earth".
Return to pick-up point. Tour ends.
