In terms of friendliness and willingness to help, Diana Hotel is alright. However, if you are not on the more accepting side in terms of amenities (am not trying to pat myself on the back, here), get one of the executive rooms. I was staying in one the standard rooms. And my opinion is that I have received more amenities and value for money staying in a lower priced. Yet having said that, I find my stay at Diana Hotel relaxing and pleasant. Regardless, the hotel is close to Istana Kuning (walking distance kind of close), eating places, gas station and ATMs. By the way, am kind of used to walking. So my walking might be a wee bit too far for some. And cash is still the main method of transaction. So the usual e payment convenience does not apply. And that goes for online transportation as well. Why do I mention these? Because you all need to buy food, water and get around. And while food is reasonable, transportation is kind of on the steep side.

For those on a low budget, the rooms are quite adequate. The downside is the cleanliness of the bathroom. There is no shower (so no hot water, only cold water) use a dipper. Flush doesn't work. There are no clothes hangers in the room. Wooden window doors. More like a 1 room rental with AC and TV facilities than a hotel. The mattress is quite soft with thin sheets and blankets.

Very nice place to stay. Clean rooms, clean bathrooms, cold air conditioning and for backpackers it's really good because you can check in quickly. Plus in front there is an Alfamart open 24 hours.
