The room is spacious, tidy and clean. Everything in the room is in good working order except the doorbell. The room maintenance lady is courteous, friendly and very efficient. I am amazed by her efficiency in changing bedsheets and tidying up the room and bathroom, all alone in less than 10 mins. We had breakfast included in room rates and it is definitely worthwhile as breakfast is sumptuous and portions are big at Trishaw Coffee House. There's a choice between Western & Asian menus and they served different items even if you choose the same menu every day. The service is wonderful! 3 lifts but only 2 were working. (Maybe the middle lift was closed to allow at least 1m social distancing for the other 2 working lifts. Haha. Just kidding). We didn't try out the swimming pool. The gym is small with equipment for cardio exercises. Only 2 people can be there at any one time with an access key from reception. Happy Joy Restaurant serves big portions. The promotions they offered are worth it and the food is delicious! We made full use of the free open-air parking. Lots of available parking lots. Velocity and United Square malls are within 5 min walk away. Novena MRT is right below Velocity, location is very good for shopping and eating. However, a few downsides: Checking in is a huge pain. We waited for 45 mins just to register for check-in even though we had paid in full online with printed out receipts to show. Seems like their computer system is slow. Each group that checked-in takes about 10 to 15 mins each. We were lucky that we were early and had 3 groups in front of us. On other days, we see the line snaked across the front lobby. 3 pm - 5 pm is peak queuing time! Apart from the doorbell not working, I found holes in a bedsheet. Quite a few holes. The bedsheet is totally white so if you just roll into bed to sleep, you probably won't notice. Not a big deal. Although the front desk said all rooms are non-smoking rooms but there was a very strong cigarette odour the moment I walked from the lift lobby to my room door. It lingered there. Didn't go away. I have to hold my breath when I exited my room and dashed to the lift lobby and did likewise when I went back to my room. The room is OK, no cigarette odour. I don't see anyone loitering at the corridor smoking. Not sure where the cigarette odour came from. Some bathroom wall tile grout is black. My boy complained that it's black mould on the first day and didn't want to take his bath. Took him some time to get used to it. The washbasin is way too low. I'm 1.74m and I have to kneel to use it so that my clothes don't get wet from the water splash. The TV screen has lines across the screen and the colour display is not good. However, there's Netflix and YouTube to watch on TV so that's good enough for me. Free wifi is not very stable. Have to wait out for the movie to load from time to time. Checking out is a breeze. 5 seconds. Just return access cards and we went off. Overall, it was a satisfying stay. Good value for money, good breakfast, good service.

While waiting for check in, kids were entertained with ice-cream and balloon sculpting. $60 credits were used for our dinner and light snacks from the nearby food, so convenient especially for Muslims! I love the big window and the room was very clean. There is a water dispenser inside the room with hot and cold water. The check-in and check-out were very quick. Seems like this hotel is used a lot by my family so it feels pretty safe staying here. All in all this hotel is worth the price for staying in Singapore.

Room a little small but just right for soloist~ The bar looks very good on the exterior, didn't get to go. The breakfast was decent and valuable for price paid. The room was neat and basic with no frills, but roomy and functional. Certain furnishing and fixtures were rather aged and not in tip-top condition (visible defects such as cracks in the bath tub), but nothing major and not a cause for complaint. However, the soundproofing of the room wasn't good-could rather easily hear the noises from the neighboring room. A major plus of this hotel is that it offers complimentary parking in its small private car park. The location is also almost unparalleled from a convenience/sightseeing/shopping perspective. An MRT station is at its doorstep and Dhoby Ghaut and Bugis are just a short distance away.

It was a pleasant stay here, the service staff at the front desk were all very friendly during the check-in and out process, as well as greeting us during our entry and exits to the hotel. I booked the Micro Studio Room and what you see in the photos is what you really get. The soundproofing from the corridor into the room is not so good so if there are guests walking along the corridor that are talking slightly too loud, you would be able to hear them. I did not have a problem with noisy guests during my stay though. If you plan on doing some form of a photoshoot in the room, just take note that the area is pretty small and the photographer will not have a lot of space to stand. There are a few 24-hour amenities around the area, such as the coffee shop across the street and a convenience store just a short walk away. Overall, a really great experience here.

The location is very strategic, very close from Farrer park MRT and just the opposite of city square mall. The room was quite small but it was clean. The bathroom was quite OK except that the closet water pipe was leaking a bit.

Tai Hoe Hotel
This is my second time stay at Tai Hoe (first is 2018 and very good impression at that time). Location is strategic, near Mustafa, City Square Mall, Ferrer Park MRT. Now in 2024 no toothbrush & toothpaste provided. The worst part is lots of little cockroaches in bedroom & bathroon at 2nd & 3rd floor (booked 3 triple room & 1 double room for family member) despite being sprayed with insect repellant every day. Hope for hotel management can provide toothbrush & toothpaste again and most important is improves the cleanliness and solve the cockroaches problem.

I heard bad reviews on multiple platforms so I was a bit suspicious. However the stay was satisfactory. The location is ok, near bus stops and MRT. Facility is acceptable, not the best quality but would not hurt for a night or two. Staff was friendly enough.

One Farrer Hotel
It 's my 3rd times stayed in this hotel, never disappointed. Staffs are friendly, very helpful and informative. Great location, right on the MRT st, and near mustafa center for shopping.

Meriton Hotel
The location is near. It 's worth the money as this hotel is the cheapest among all, but the facility is at least standardized. The room is not really spacious, but enough for two. The minus is no lift nor elevator. So you have to carry your stuffs all the way up and down by yourself.
