A city and suburb of Bandung, Cimahi's history is intertwined with the birth of the Dutch colonial army. It remains a home to many military academies and various branches of the modern Indonesian army. History buffs will enjoy a visit to its Dutch War cemetery — one of the largest in Indonesia. You can also explore the few remaining colonial buildings, such as The Historisch, a former arts center only a 10-minute drive from the city square.
