It was pleasant. The rooms are noisy though … it’s an expensive upgrade, but beautiful old buildings like this would really benefit from double glazing and good fitting doors. I could see a lot of light under and around the door … and when someone walked on the street past the window it sounded like they were in my room!

St Mark’s is a lovely accommodation option. Just two things to be aware of: our room was at the front of the building near reception so it was quite noisy! The second issue is that it is a considerable walk to the light rail etc. There didn’t seem to be many dining or cafe options close by either. We used Uber a lot!

Stay was good. However hotels.com state that there is parking, but there is not. I had to carry my child with additional needs almost 2km in the pouring rain to reach the front door as there is no alternate entry offered and no parking onsite.

St Marks Randwick provided good value as it was clean, safe, and comfortable. The hotel is about 5-10 minutes walk to local buses and 15 minutes walk to the tram station; about 40 minutes to Circular Quay.
The room and amenities are basic, but they had everything I needed. Good for a short stay in Sydney, especially if you will be out and about.
2 disappointments though - 1) the ac does not work well. I could not feel any air even with fan on highest speed and temp at lowest setting. I had to leave my windows open throughout the night. Sydney is humid so sheets and hanging clothes get musty. 2) the wifi is frustratingly slow during the day. I had no problems with the wifi late at night and early in the morning, but at 8 am and through the day, the wifi is so slow that I could not do any remote work.
Overall, good value and good stay for an affordable holiday in Sydney.

Location is convenient not just for Randwick but also to access Sydney CBD easily and quickly.
There is no lift so all luggage must be carried up stairs if staying in a level 2 room.

It’s a guest house. There’s parking on the street nearby if you’re lucky. The beds were comfortable and it has a lovely vibe. The bathroom is tiny but ok if you’re only there for 2 days. Not enough lighting to do makeup properly. No microwave in room but there’s a kitchenette with one and free capsule coffee and nice tea bags. The outside courtyard is a beautiful relaxing space. No street noise. Close to restaurants but again hard to park a car.
