Cedar Springs Motel

They never answered the door. I stayed in Guelph. I want my money back plus reimbursement for going out of my way. I tried honking my horn and beating on the office door. Take this motel off your list.

Really dirty

The room shown on Expedia is a catfish. It was a completely different room upon check in and was extremely dirty. The floors weren’t cleaned. There was hair on the bathroom tub and wall. The bathroom tub also had no curtains or a door so you can’t really have a shower without the water getting everywhere. The bed sheets had hair and marks all over and the door wouldn’t lock properly. Please do not stay in this motel it’s not worth $100 a night.

An inexpensive motel if you really need to stay in this area. Not much to do except a grocery store and McDonald's nearby. The motel needs some renovation but for the price, very acceptable.

Do not stay here. As soon as I walked through the door of my room I got hit with cigarette smoke mixed with cat litter smell. It was so pungent it gave me a headache. They seem to do the bare minimum of cleaning as the area behind the toilet was really gross. The only reason I had a shower was to wash off the stench of smoke before my morning meeting. If you have no standards, stay here. I’m ok with roughing it sometimes but cleanliness is important and smoke smell is disgusting.

It was okay for a night stay the bell cable box didn’t work but besides that it wasn’t bad at all.

Room was VERY DIRTY. It's dated and that would be fine IF it was clean. The walls have runs of dirt on them, the curtains have blood stains, looks like they mop the floors with mud water. Every corner is piled with grime. I went to ask for a clean room and was told because we had been there for half hour that they had no more rooms available and would not issue a refund or even a partial refund. Too dirty to even have a shower. While I was talking to her, another couple came in to complain about their dirty room also, not sure what their outcome was, but they were told to come back in 10 minutes. They said their towels were nicely folded with big clumps of hair in them. I've seen some pretty grungy places over the years, but this place takes the cake! AVOID this place at all costs. NOTHING BUT HORRIBLE AND GROSS.

No internet, which i needed. When you book it says WIFI included. I paid before i found out that is false. Then, they would only refund part of one of the two nights, even though i basically just walked into the room and out again when i realized there was no internet. And only then after a LOT of arguing. Beat up, dumpy rip off-hotel. I would not have booked there if I'd known there was no internet. Don't book Cedar Springs!!
