Coast Abbotsford Hotel & Suites

They need to ensure fridge is emptied out from previous guests food. When I went to put drinks in fridge, it was full of leftovers from previous guest. They smelled horribly so not sure how long they were there.

Quick check in which we appreciated late at night, friendly staff and a nice comfy sleep

Good location, but noisy due to the window unit AC.

Checkin lady (Christianne) was not friendly. She said nothing was available despite being able to book online. Gave a credit card for the typical incidentals - but she didn’t pre-auth, she charged my card - but didn’t find this out until after I got home… when I called, I spoke to the same woman who was rude on the phone, continually spoke over me, denied taking charges and flat out lied about their processes and the ability to contact anyone. Despite multiple calls and being told eventually that it would be taken care of - I have yet to receive my refund!!! The room she gave us was a pet room (which she lied about also) that came with that awesome funky smell and which was, apart from the bed sheets, DIRTY. Thick dirt on baseboards and on the floor in the corners.. the bathtub had dirt rings on the drain end… If we hadn’t been travelling so far and had such a frustrating checkin I would have requested a different room. I would not stay here again. Disappointing - The Coast is usually a go to stay for us in any town.. but this was not a nice experience by any means. :(

We always like the comfortable bed and the pleasant concierges.

When we arrived we were the guest of the day and were given a small gift bag with a can of specialty water and some seasoned nuts. Then once we were given our key/card we went to our room. We met the cleaning staff in the hall and were told our room was not cleaned/ready. The room was at the end of the hall which we liked so we told the staff we would put our suitcase in the room and leave to return later. Upon returning later our key/card did not work for the room and we had to get it reprogrammed. The room was nice, clean and quiet except for the heater made a rattle and high pitch squeal but it could be turned off entirely to get rid of it.

Booked a pet friendly room. When we arrived wouldn’t accept the pet.

Great hotel close to lots of amenities and restaurants. Only negative is the breakfast is well below par.

Very nice hotel. Easy parking, good location. It was clean, quiet, staff were very good. The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is that I reserve excellence for above and beyond service. Otherwise there is nothing for staff to work towards.
