Granville Island Hotel

The hotel is in a great location. We enjoyed the fact that we can just walk around and check out the various shops, kids market, public market. The walking path along the water is awesome. It's a perfect spot to vacation with family with kids. Lots of activities and beautiful views of the water and downtown Vancouver. You don't really have venture out of the community unless you're looking for something specific as pretty much everything is there. As far the hotel, it was okay. The decor is dated and our bed was too firm for our liking. We had a georgous view of the city which is stunning at night! My wife was on a wheelchair and we found it a little challenging to maneuver inside through the hallways and bedroom. The bedroom is not handicap accessible as we could not fit the wheelchair through the bathroom door. Our room was not fully ready. I had to call front desk to request hand soap for the bathroom. I also had requested 4 sets of towels in the pre-check in but the hotel failed to deliver. What's the point of asking your guests in the pre-checkin if there are any special accommodations needed when it's just going to being ignored? The restaurant served delicious food and the panaramic view of the water and downtown is breath taking. We forgot our to go order and the restaurant called us and delivered it to our room. I would stay again in the hotel, but I wish they made their rooms and bathrooms more wheelchair accessible.

The location is amazing . At the heart of Granville island. The hotel is quiet and clean. Super professional staff.

Easy quick check in. Desk person was very friendly and kind, he even had treats for my dog. Room is lovely plus a peaceful view of a park, boardwalk and the water.

Location in Vancouver is excellent and the surroundings are fantastic - Granville market, cafes, and galleries. Easy access by water taxi to awesome locations.

It's a nice view

Easy access to everything on the island and to public transportation to downtown and Kitslano neighborhood. Check in was simple and quick too.

Hotel is nice overall. Beds are small for double-occupancy. Blackout curtains don't close all the way, which was annoying in a room facing a parking lot with lights on all night.

Arrived at approx 6:20pm. Was given an Accessible room at check-in which was realized when went to assigned room. Went back to front desk and explained I did not want room designed for Accessibility. Check in clerk was condescending and not very helpful. Was then given another standard room (as reservation was meant to be when booked). Why check-in person did not give this room at outset when I arrived is very questionable and a blemish. This is why rating given is poor/terrible.

Super convenient for us as we could walk to everyone we wanted to visit plus some Christmas shopping right on Granville Island Quiet, nice view, good restaurant.

Very convenient hotel in a great location. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

My favorite location to stay. The market and restaurants have everything I need. Weeknights are quiet. I find it’s easy in and out to everything else.
