Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Brockville by IHG

I thought this hotel had a great location, breakfast, snacks through the day, great staff. I think it will be a lot better after the renovations.

There were a number of Issues with the hotel such as no lightbulb in the light fixture

Good stay

The rooms all need to be redone. The first suite we were given on the 3rd floor was clean but the facet in the bathtub leaked constantly so we asked to switch rooms. That tub was worn and marked. The carpets are worn, the bathtubs are marked and the shower head needed to be cleaned and de-calcified (why hotels don’t have hand held showers heads is beyond me makes cleaning them easier for staff) and the pillows were way to soft. The elevators were filthy and not just the floor. I know it’s winter but the walls of the elevator looked like it had been wiped down in the 12 hrs we were there. The overwhelming smell or cleaning supplies and chlorine on floor 3 and 2 was overwhelming. Staff were polite and helpful.

Trish and the staff were excellent! Breakfast both days was hot and a good variety of food. The housekeeping was helpful and provided extra towels for the kids.Thanks Ladies !!

This hotel was really close to downtown, was very affordable and had the best continental breakfast weve ever had before. The staff were so friendly.

Nothing special to add to be honest. We needed a pit stop between Toronto and Montreal and we landed here. Practical: easy parking, indoor pool, free breakfast.

Stay was good. Our first room, there were a couple of issues but they gave us another room that was much better. Very friendly, great customer service. Breakfast was good. Staff were great.

This property needs technological upgrades such as USB charging capabilities

Our stay was very enjoyable considering our reason, we were there with family for a Celebration of Life for my brother. The staff were most accommodating. One thing I was nervous, I am a senior, the tub caused me some concern. The only grip bar was at the tap end, so getting in, not knowing the temperature was a shock. Would it be possible to put grip bars at either end & rubber mats for we seniors, please. Other than that we will stay at Holiday Inn on our next visit. Thank you.

I booked on Expedia, and they called me to tell me they over booked so I had to move from a suite to a regular room for the same price and couldn’t do anything because I booked through a 3rd party app. I was offered a king room in exchange for my king suite and was given a double queen room upon arrival. The room was very outdated and dirty. Staff was nice but not accommodating. For a holiday inn property it was pretty unacceptable, not to mention being penalized for booking through Expedia, which is normally my favorite app on the planet. All in all they really need to step there game up.

Hotel was standard. My room was pretty good, except for the fact that the toilet paper roll was broken, which injured my finger as I attempted to catch the toilet paper roll as it fell from the holder. To make matters worse, after checking out and after I left the hotel, I was asked to come back since they said they couldn't process my credit card to check me out. I had to drive all the way back from my client's office to the hotel to pay for my check out using my debit card, regardless of me stating that there's an active charge on my credit card. Holiday Inn assured me that the charge would be refunded and that if there's any issues they will resolve it. 19 days after I checked out (Oct 29), I am now double charged as Holiday Inn never refunded the charge on my credit card. After calling Holiday Inn twice, the call finally ended with them saying that they confirmed with their technical team that the refund was submitted successfully and I have to talk to my bank to resolve. Will not be going back to this hotel.
