The room was very cute, comfortable and clean. The decorations were very cute. Dealing with the staff for after hours check-in and at the restaurant was amazing. Everyome was very friendly.

AMAZING! so fun. our room had a record player, interesting books, magazine, old telephone with a surprise. The design was incredible. bathroom was beautifully renovated. So comfortable and so thoughtful. Will Definity be going back and recommending it to friends. would highly recommend!

The room where so beautifully decorated and cozy. The staff were warm and friendly. The food in the restaurant was delicious. It was a lovely atmosphere and easy driving distance to the Nordik Spa in Chelsea. All around great experience!

Really nice rooms. Loved the decor and all the treats in that room that you can purchase during your stay. They have a cozy restaurant and shop attached to the motel. Food was delicious.

Loved my stay. I had the deluxe king room and loved the atmosphere. I really enjoyed the theme room and the record player with records from local artists. The bathroom was spacious and had a wonderful tub to soak in while I listened to the records. There were local products available for a fee (bathbombs, socks, head wrap and more if you want) but didn’t use any. The snacks with the minibar were great! A variety and definitely better than the usual snacks at hotels. There was a communal room with a microwave and coffee maker and more which I really appreciated too. Nordik spa was only a 10 min drive away which made it easy after my spa day. I overall loved the place and the vibe. I will definitely be back soon!

Amazed to watch all employees focused on kindness, service and genuine care. The restaurant offered familiar food made with quality products, care and creativity (really well done!). We requested an early check-in since we had a wedding to attend at 3:30 and were informed there would be an additional charge for this service. I’ve never experienced this anywhere, I’ve always been told if the room is available sure, no problem. While the room was clean, the bed was quite uncomfortable—extremely soft and lumpy, making it difficult to get any restful sleep. We ended up tossing and turning and left very early due to the lack of sleep.
Additionally, we were taken aback to find that every bath product was priced individually. The bathtub was lovely, but we were surprised to learn that bath salts and any other bath item came at an extra cost.
We will not be staying at this establishment again.

Hello, I had a nice stay but it would have been beneficial to know that the restaurant would not be open during my stay. Especially since there were very limited dining options close to the hotel. Otherwise it was clean and quiet.

This unique motel provided us a retro decor room which was very clean and in very good condition.
The check in and access to room was all virtual which I did not care for but the motel staff worked me to find a viable solution which was very much appreciated. The coffee room was great, also in retro theme and fresh condiments for coffee and tea were provided. We enjoyed our one night stay here.

A wonderful place to stay. We stayed 2 nights while attending a wedding in Wakefield . The place is less than a 20 min drive to Chelsea or Wakefield. The staff was super friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable and had a fun aesthetic. We will definitely return.

This place is a little hidden gem, I barely want to write this in case it sells out for my next vacation! Each room is different and carefully seen to every detail. Chain hotels are our go to, and have a reputation for certain standards, but there’s no love to the rooms. It’s like the difference between a home cooked meal or a tv dinner. This place was spotless, and everywhere you looked you found one more thing that made you smile. No furniture stapled to the wall like in a chain. It was like living in pinterest for a vacation, It just felt so cool and special. Staff was easy to communicate with, catered to our wishes, and was just a very relaxed environment. It was great. Customer service is a tough industry, and I have stayed in nice places and when the staff doesn’t care it makes everything awkward, u just want to leave. Not so here. Which was important to us esp this trip as it was a milestone wedding Anniversary for us and staying here made us both feel like we celebrated it properly. Before we left we were already planning how and when to come back. Highly recommend.

The Chelsea Motel is a creative artistic endeavour that made our stay memorable. The ambience and decor was a feast for the senses, I only wish the cafe had been open while we were there. However, the motel is close to many delectable dining options. We’re glad we found this gem on our road trip.

Small, roadside motel but once inside, you realize it’s run and taken care of with lots of love and pride. All rooms are uniquely but tastefully decorated in an eclectic, vintage style. Rooms are clean. The necessary quality amenities are provided (some for a fee but the basic ones are complementary). I enjoyed the restaurant which had good live bands playing both nights that I was there. I also loved the boutique with artisanal products at the reception. The friendliness and attentiveness of the staff really stood out to me. Without me asking, they picked up on me not being so keen on the room I had booked, and they offered to transfer me to another top room they had. They got it cleaned up and ready for me very late at night just to make sure I’d have the best possible stay. I was touched by their attentiveness and friendly attitude and hospitality. The dining room staff was also so welcoming. They offered me to stay for the show even if I don’t have a meal or drink. (I ended up having some snacks anyways and enjoyed the night!) Another perk is coffee/tea available all day in the main building. I would stay again if I’m visiting the Chelsea/Wakefield area.

Overall very good-great decor and fun nostalgia items in the rooms. Difficult to wheel luggage to room- just need a few pavers between the parking and sidewalk alongside the motel. Need larger bath towels. Need hand soap. Entrance to parking from road would be much easier to find at night with a reflector. Small changes that would lead to rave reviews!
