Wonderful experience spending a weekand in Sherwood Inn. Very friendly staff. Room is warm and clean. Resaturant food is wonderful. EV charger in the parking lot adds convenience to the trip. Would be nice to have more parking spaces.

Our second stay at the Inn and they knocked it out of the park again! Its the best way to relax. Cant wait until we visit next December.

The inn is very lively and there is a lovely restaurant on-site offering breakfast, lunch and dinner. They also have a cute firepit and also a trail for cross country skiing and snow shoeing!
The only complaint is not enough parking spaces as it's winter and we had trouble finding parking near Maplewood building.

The resort is nice and generally quiet. The ground are beautiful and the lake is stunning.
We stayed at the Maplewood building, which is old but charming. The room was clean and comfortable. The jacuzzi was a welcome bonus especially after a long winter hike. The only negative thing for me was the constant humming noise that was coming from the ice machine located directly below the room - if you are sensitive to sounds like I am, room 532 might not work for you. Other than that everything was great!

Quaint property and very pretty and serene...however not enough places for people to sit and enjoy the sun and water during the day. Beach is taken over by families and children and the docks only have a few chairs on them?? Other than that the property is beautiful.

We stayed just for one night. Enjoyed it. Clean and comfortable, wooden fireplace, beautiful view of the lake.
Cons: no cups or glasses in the room. I don't like drinking from a paper cup.

Sunrise and sunset u can see both on this inn just check site. My only problem is no power on hair blower at washroom. Power supply is old, they gave me portable heater because my heater in my room not working.

A beautiful INN in Port Carling on Lake Joseph literally minutes from town. Surrounded by trees and walking trails. Quiet and a beautiful time of year to see all the Fall colours. Highly recommend!

Muskoka and surroundings areas had a 6 hour power outage with Hydro One for over 2,000 customers on Saturday, Oct 12th. The Inn had a backup generator which kept staff & services provided for those at the Inn and restaurants. We went into Port Carling which had power and so did some other areas. Glad it was fixed around 6:30pm that evening so the cabins & cottages had power as cooler weather had moved in.

There's no ac only have fans.
And i had been told there is not pet friendly. But the reason i booked just because it shows pet friendly. And They charged extra money after we left. I have no idea what the money for.

I have been coming to the Sherwood Inn for four Thanksgiving weekends. We are usually very pleased. However, this time not so much.The furniture in the room is getting tired. The bathroom tub and shower are stained and there is no soap dish in the shower. The power was out all day Saturday. No hot water for a shower. We were not offered any compensation and at the end we still had to pay for amenities. I was very displeased with my stay this year.

Dinner was amazing but our room was not a luxury room. The fireplace and electric baseboards were rusty. Looked like water damage. When we turned on the fireplace it smelled like gas and the flames were very small. I think it was malfunctioning. It was disappointing

A most enjoyable stay. Dinner in the lounge was great. The fine dining room looked lovely as well. All of the staff were so friendly and accommodating. A lovely little inn. We will be back.
