Windermere House

We were lucky that not many people were staying at the hotel, making it peaceful and quiet. We also had the chance to enjoy their barrel sauna. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The only downside was that the spa and outdoor jacuzzi were closed, and while the pub was open, it was undergoing a small renovation and felt cold. Other than that, the food was delicious. Overall, I’d recommend it! ☺️

Beautiful place! Unfortunately I was there during a snow storm and wasn’t able to check out the facilities, but definitely an amazing place!

our first time here was in october and our stay in january was just as nice but even quieter. Only about 8 guests so we literally had the place to ourselves. it’s beautiful in the winter. Hot tub was open and sauna barrels. had our dinner in the pub our food and service was great. Breakfast was ala cart as opposed to a buffet but it was because there weren’t many here, it was still plentiful and good.

Great getaway!

Absolutely amazing property to stay at any season of the year. A wonderful time was had. Great food, attentive staff that goes out of their way to make your stay incredibly enjoyable .

Hotel was very nice and clean and ALL of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to going again and staying more then just 1 night to check out all the amenities that they offer.

The hotel was good and the amenities like spa (sauna, hot and cold pool, steam room etc) was good. We enjoyed plunging into the hot tub and cold pool a lot. Though the Sauna took a long time and we should have run it for 2 hours to get it hot on cold -15 C day. The staff were excellent, especially Kelly at the front desk who helped us a lot. We only got the buffet breakfast only one day of the 3 day stay, but the limited a-la-carte menu was also good. Though the resort fee was a bit high, the service provided was great. Did not try the food or drinks in the pub or the restaurant (which only opened, after a long halt, the day before we left), Only major complain I had was noisy guests who turned up the day before we were leaving. They were in the next room and the group was talking really loudly and we got woken up around midnight and in spite of asking them politely to reduce their noise levels, they persisted for another 15 mins until 12:30, I tried to reach the front desk, but no one picked up the call.

Amazing stay at WH. Had a lovely time resetting and getting away from the city! Staff was helpful and kind. Great atmosphere. Will be booking again in the new year!
