exactly what we wanted in a hotel clean friendly , parking and close to the town

lovely staff but hotel needs updating as wear and tear is pretty noticeable. windows couldn't be closed so was very cold. and the bed was very uncomfortable.

Good for a fairly-priced place to stay in the area, only complaint is the odd bathroom/toilet layout alongside shower and sink water constantly running hot/cold.

Quite tired and not the cleanest, but the room was very large fitting a king size and two small beds

This is absolutely fine for a basic stay. The room was clean and, road noise aside, reasonably quiet. The mattress was not the most comfortable, but I slept well on it. Breakfast was individually cooked, albeit fifteen minutes later than promised, and staff were often attentive. If arriving by car, the car park is small, unlit, and can’t be accessed from the main road other than by following the maze of one way streets round the block!

Small carpark need to make sure you put in your registration number on the tablet. Quick check in most information given Room was at the top of the hotel no lift just stairs a few flights too ! Room was a big size Clean but a bit worn looking. Bed was comfortable enough Wifi excellent Shower was hot and powerful Breakfast not included Evening meal was good Plenty of choices and residents get a discount too ! Location close to the town center and the river. Would probably stay again if in the area.

The room was clean as was the bathroom. The rain shower was a delight. The mattress and pillows however, were obviously cheap and didn’t provide the best comfort. The staff were kind and friendly.

Absolutely awful, holes in the wall, wallpaper held up by sellotape. Whole place felt very unsafe i ended up checking out and not staying.

The room was smelling, mattress was worn out, had to sleep in opposite direction.

Nice place but had to wait 10mins as they tried to charge me again for my room after I paid on line 2 months ago. Got to the room that was utterly freezing with no heat. 3 attempts got it working to find near no water at shower and the tray all blocked with hair.

Large recently decorated room, with totally renewed shower room. All very nice, but a bit short on furniture! Lots of spce but only one easy chair in a double room, and no chest of drawers so if you were staying any length of time and wanted to unpack... The staff were very friendly and the food was good, evening and breakfast. We had a room at the front and there was traffic noise, but it wasn't enough to disturb our sleep.

The room and hotel overall was nice. Easy to park and able to check in quickly. My only big negative was the pillows were so flat it was hard to be comfortable in bed, please buy some new pillows.

Road noise compromised sleep massively. Beams and low ceilings a hazard for husband who is 6ft 2inches tall. Broken handle on one of the windows, so couldn’t open it. Cobwebs on bathroom skylight. Dirty valance on one of the beds.

The team were so friendly and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable and great for the price. The breakfast was lovely. I will stay again.

superb room, very comfortable with good wifi, unfortunately lots of road noise from outside as my room was at the front, needs secondary glazing

Hotel does not look exactly spectacular from the outside, but once inside, a very warm welcome from the owners. Lovely room with amazing shower, and very comfortable bed.

Location good, nice decor throughout. All staff very friendly.

Well placed property with a nice restaurant and friendly staff

We loved the king size bed and large bedroom. The bathroom was nicely set out with a good shower.

The decor was interesting and obviously had had some recent upgrading. The bed was comfortable but bedside light switches were inaccessible when in bed. The shower was excellent. The room was lean. We were disappointed that there were no "extras" - there was no shower gel or complimentary toiletries. The tea and coffee supplied was very basic and not replenished. There were no biscuits or nibbles provided and there was no facility to purchase anything - apart from the charity sweets on reception. The biggest issue was that the four star rating which appeared on the website actually was based on the food hygiene rating and was not actually the star rating of the hotel. Other guests had noted this also.
