Best Western London Highbury

I unfortunately left my prescription medicines in my room and did not discover it until I was long out of the city. I contacted the hotel and they said they had my meds and would ship them to me for a price and I understood that. . Then an hour later they contacted me and said they would also have to charge another amount for going to the trouble of shipping it. I thought this to be very unnecessary and not very customer friendly at all. Made the difference in my decision to just chalk it up to my loss and avoid this place in the future.

Good basic place to stay within walking distance of the tube. Value for money

Good for a one or two night stay if visiting north London, eg for the Emirates or Spurs stadiums. Good connectivity with central London. The rooms are small but comfortable. There are few eating/drinking choices in the immediate vicinity but ample choice a 10 minute walk away.

This hotel was very basic, with no evening dining option. The room was small, but did have everything I needed. The breakfast was limited. I wouldn't choose to stay here again.

I chose this hotel for the parking but there was no suggestion that there was an additional charge, so not happy that we had to pay in their own car park!!

I was unable to stay within the hotel despite calling previously to ask if i could come in being forced to sleep on the streets. Terrible staff extremely rude

Room very small, bed incredibly uncomfortable, bathroom dated and not exactly clean. Car parking charged at £10 despite no mention of a fee when booking. But the breakfast was without doubt the worst hotel breakfast I've ever had. It actually must take some effort to make a cooked breakfast of such poor quality. No doubt literally days of effort based on the bacon which looked like it had been cooked a few days before. Even the continental part was cheap and nasty. Staff all polite and helpful.

Property is on the main road so very noisy. Room was dated as was hotel. Not worth at all the price we paid

We had lovely short stay at Best West , staffs were welcoming, lovely hotel and the room was good. I would recommend them for individuals and family

Dear Best Western Highbury, I recently stayed at your property from December 4, 2024 to December 7, 2024 in room 312. While I was initially looking forward to a pleasant stay, I am disappointed by several issues that negatively impacted my experience: Non-functional TV: The television in my room did not work, even after a staff member spent over 10 minutes attempting to fix it. This left me without one of the amenities I expected during my stay. Uncomfortable Room Temperature: The room was exceptionally warm, making it difficult to rest or relax comfortably. When I inquired at the reception about lowering the heat, I was informed there was no way to adjust it. Given these inconveniences, I feel the conditions did not align with the level of service promised by your establishment. I kindly request a refund or a partial reimbursement for my stay. Hotel was fine for a one night stay, no restaurant for evening food let it down

I was charged on arrival for parking - which was not clear on my booking , however air con was disabled - and not available and not as advertised - therefore I would like a refund as the property was advertised in a misleading manner

Staff helpful. Room like a sauna even when radiator turned off. There was aircon unit would not switch on. Bath towels really small. Walls really thin you can hear everything. Area not great especially after dark did not feel safe walking to shops after dark as groups of men just hanging around shops and lots of homeless people asking for money constantly.

My partner and I stayed here for our anniversary as we wanted to be out and about in London. I was greeted by friendly, warm staff, excellent customer service. The rooms were small but clean & comfortable, TV worked fine, the heater was hoooot and lovely on a cold night. We were greeted leaving & coming in, it felt safe. We parked overnight for £10 It was a good experience, we would use them again

Small room, reflected in price. Clean and warm, plenty of hot water and nice warm towel rail. Breakfast standard fayre but good value with plenty of choice.

The hotel is not near Highbury and Islington. It’s located between Manor House and Finsbury Park. The surrounding area feels rough and insecure, and walking in at night feels scary. The hotel itself feels very old and outdated. The staff was professional and welcoming. Unfortunately, my room was so tiny, and the bed was very uncomfortable to sleep in. Every time I turned around in my bed, It made an annoying squeaky noise. This is probably the worst Western hotel I have stayed in in all the places I have been around the world.
