Lovely hotel clean and great atmosphere only downfall was the heating was so loud and really warm

Quality stay with high levels of cleanliness and comfort. Great location with parking, just across the road from Durham centre. Good breakfast.

Enjoyed my stay. Nice, clean room. Staff very friendly. Ate in the bar. Food and drink and service very good.

All is nice, staff are friendly and really helpful all is good start from Checkin with very happy Receptionist Victoria, then at restaurant all its good.

Great hotel, with very friendly staff. Room spacious and comfortable. Bathroom large, but only one hook in the bathroom, and not much area to put stuff on; if I’d been travelling with my wife, my bathroom clutter would’ve been consigned to the bedroom.

Was a lovely stay apart from I paid for a queensize bed. Which it wasn’t it was only a king size bed.

A nice hotel but quite old inside the room, with squeaky floor. The good thing is the location.

our stay was perfect other than the breakfast which we thought was overpriced and barely warm and the bacon imo was under cooked and no variety from day to day! Also the food menus in the grill I thought were poor! alright if you like chicken but again not much to choose from. The staff were all lovely and very helpful and the location was very good.

Lovely room with view of the cathedral, very close to the city. Helpful, friendly staff. All amemities needed for our christmas weekend stay. Just what we needed.

No water provided and small tumblers. Sounds trivial but a nice glass of cold water is most welcome after a lot of driving. Every other hotel provides this.

A lovely spot where you are so close to shopping, dining and sightseeing.

The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. The heating was not easy to control but the room was comfortable was was the dining room. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast selection was extensive, well cooked and varied. The bar area was rather "corporate" and could be less formal. It should be clearer that there are expensive charges for car parking, increasing the cost of the stay by over £22-. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the city's attractions.

The hotel was lovely. It had a car park which is charageable but thats normal. Checked in service was great. The lift was out of order we were on second floor so had a lot of steps to go up. They fid offer to take our bags. I have bad knees so the steps didnt help. We were in a room the furthest point away it felt. The room was nice and clean. We went out for food and came back to bed after a long day on rd. The pillows were awful your head sunk to mattress the room was freezing and the theromostate did not work i did not sleep. Next morning our coridor was freezing but when u walking into another area it was boiling. Breakfast was not the best great service but the fruit tasted sour the mushrooms were very plasticy. The food was not being replenished so no beans or potatos. I was not impressed. We were very tired for our day working and driving

One of the very best Hotels I have stayed in this year, I stay away with business at least twice a week, this is a great hotel, rooms, location, parking all excellent! Staff very helpful 10/10

Enjoyed our stay my only criticism would be we were not in the main hotel and had a view of the car park. We had to cross over the carpark for breakfast so if it was raining could really spoil your breakfast vibe. The room also had very poor lighting so was very hard to read at night and in the day.
