Room was stunning, patio was private enough, the whole place was immaculate and the host was lovely !

Great stay and a super friendly and helpful owner. Breakfast is pre-ordered on a tablet when you arrive, unfortunately the tablet wasn't charged up but that is no big deal and the breakfast was very good!!

A lovely one night stay in Windermere in this Charming Guest house, the host could not be more helpful and friendly, will definitely be coming back!

The only good thing of this place was the comfortable. For the rest unfortunately our experience wasn't positive. The pillows were uneven, the bathroom was quite dirty, so was the floor. The room was really small and we could barely walk through having two small suitcases on the ground. We arrived late so we had no one to complain about and look for a different room.

Absolutely brilliant stay! We loved the room, balcony and breakfast. The coffee was incredible?! Staff were lovely and Ian a great host! Thanks so much, we'll be returning!

Fantastic 3 night stay at this b&b. 15 mins walk into bowness and same the other way to Windermere so perfect for restaurants and bars . We stopped in the suite with its own lounge and patio with hot tub which was fantastic , but you would need to book well in advance for this as it’s not always available . Everything was spot on for our stay , breakfast in the morning consisted of fruit and yogurt , cereals, all different jams and spreads , and full English breakfast and other things available . Ian the host kept in communication with us to make sure our stay was perfect. Would highly recommend this place and we certainly will be coming back again 👍

We have just come back from a beautiful, comfortable stay at Glencree. Ian is a fantastic host and communication was very easy. To our surprise, we were upgraded to a suite which was absolutely stunning! The guest house is about a 10 minute walk from everything (including the lake) so brilliant location. Waking up to the sound of the running stream outside was one of the highlights, so peaceful! Breakfast was very well ran, and the food was lovely. For our first trip to the Lake District we couldn’t have chosen better and I think we’ve found our go-to place! Thank you!

Host very welcoming on our arrival, room was ample for our needs bathroom clean and large shower area, breakfast was great cooked well and tasty.

Had a great few nights at Glencree - excellent base for Bowness, Windemere and the other tourist spots - breakfast was top notch will defo be back again

Brilliant stay at The Glencree. Great location and beautiful property. Ian our host was amazing, nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in the romantic double with balcony, although the room was small it was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. Overall an outstanding stay and would definitely return.

We stayed at Glencree for 2 nights, our first time in the Lake District. We couldn’t have wished for a better break away! Ian, the host, was super friendly and gave brilliant advice on activities, restaurants etc., upon arrival. The location was perfect for short walks into both Windermere centre and Bowness. The room was spotless with gorgeous decor and morning breakfast was delicious. Will 100% stay again in the future. Thank you!

What a beautiful guesthouse we had the small room with the balcony the room is small but very clean and comfortable, the toilet again was beautiful. The only improvement needed was to put some sort of canopy or umbrella on the balcony as you can’t sit outside if it rain’s.
