Great for trip to Southampton lovely food

Middle of winter and had to have the window’s wide open as well as a fan on constant - the room was like a sauna, (so no sleeping that night ), this wasn’t aided with the towel rail being constantly on as well as near a busy road, which with open wide windows meant noisy ( wasn’t noisy when closed ). Arrived and like most, cup of tea time. Couldn’t open the lid of the kettle due to limescale on the ridge. Managed to boil some water, however the limescale must have been in the base also as the tea was visibly undrinkable. Didn’t eat at the location due to Christmas parties and being very busy, for me this is a good sign that the food is good, so disappointing but completely understandable. The room was tastefully furnished and very modern, which was the reason for my choice. The staff on arrival were very friendly and helpful, however again due to the time of the year, very busy. Was disappointed, when leaving that I wasn’t asked how my stay went. This place could be cracking but for me, on this occasion, I came away underwhelmed.

Lovely clean room, although very warm.We had to turn the radiator down and open the window. Very comfortable bed.Didnt eat in the restaurant in the evening,but the cooked full english was Huge and very well presented. Plenty of choice as well.Will definitely stay again.

I have stayed in many hotels but have to say that Harper's in Southampton have nailed it. The staff are happy and efficient. The food is lovely. The rooms have the little extra touches and the bed and pillows are perfect. If I could score a 12 I would. Very pleasant stay. We will Def return and try others in the chain.

Room was cozy and clean. All members of staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was very good. Would recommend and intend to book again on our next trip to Southampton.

Very quiet and nice layout, well sound insulated from pub, accommodating with late check in from visiting a gig and good onsite parking set back from the road, as two young women we felt very safe and undisturbed during our visit. Will likely book with Harpers again in the future here or trying another site, many thanks!

Interesting, very busy place, and i think that meant staff over busy. We had someone walk into our room whilst we were getting ready for dinner (thankfully the chap realised). Then in the restaurant when orderinf we were told that it was 40 mins as the kitchen was buay. Calamari not great, choice of drinks great and good quality - staff really pleasant and helpful

The room I was given was not the room I booked. I paid for a king room as was given a small double. The room had no working heating so spent the first night in the cold. Only given a small space heater for the second night. The lights flickered when using the dimmer. I would not recommend this again.
